  • How much for the body

  • Spot on mate,i got the same original lr3 as you had and gotta admit utter poo off road, you have given me some good ideas cheers :)

  • Good job!!

  • i like it

  • Do you sell it?? :)

  • hey would anybody no how easy/hard it would be to mount a new bright body to a cco1 chassis

  • 1:25 SCRAP SHOP

  • @TomDonson

yeah i may beef it up a little >;0).. i wanna raise it a little too so i have more cleaerance, so perhaps a refurb is in order!...the set up its at now has loads of movement and has a perfect amount or suspension travel and returne

i have quite a few projects on the go so getting back round to it is a pain in the butt!

  • Wow, thought I was about to watch another Axial or whatever with a LR3 dropped on top, way to be original! (headed to watch a vid of her in action now :)

  • THATS BLOODY OUTSTANDING!!!! a great job on that well done :)

  • @LittletinyGeorge cheers dude! i am gunna make it look better at some point? but kinda got to many builds on at once to finish anything

  • If you were to run 1.9" wheels i'd definetlyget Proline 1.9" Super Swampers :D

  • thats sick man

  • thinking about using a chain saw engine to really make this thing fly >;-)

  • really clever use of materials, great build

  • amazing...

  • its about 2 feet long ! quite big...powerfull too!.. i want to raise the floor pan on it for beter ride hight, and also make more detail for the shell

  • What the hell man this looks amazing, I wish I could do that sort of thing! Really impressed. How big is it? Gotta see this in action!

  • nice building ;P

  • how did you get all the wheels running with one motor

  • if you go to 0:45 in the video you will see a transfer gear at the front of the motor

(black thing with a yellow stciker on it)

the red drive gear' turns another gear which has two drive shafts coming out each end...turning the wheels

  • thanks

  • Impressive.

  • this is going to get a big over haul soon,

cheers for comments so far, i have had a few other projects on the go, but havent been happy with them to make any vids,.....

i have a bob tail range rover shell i just made, i am working on a small vid for it now

  • very good! i like ur style!

  • i love this car can i have it please please :)

  • That is Genius! Probably the Highest Quality of Modding i have ever seen!

  • what scale is the car?

  • that is officially amazing, it surprising how close to scale ther accessories are.

  • i want one

  • yeah all the doors did open! but i bolted them shut to keep it ridged?...i only undo them for acsess reasons...i am thinking about chopping it up a little more to give the rear end a ''bob cut''

  • is it the land rover with the opening doors?

  • thanks for the comment >;0)..in total it cost me about £20 for the wheels and thats all i spent on it? all the other parts i had laying about from old RC cars

  • wow that's the best crawler i ever seen:) btw how much money u spend on it?

  • the bull bars? you mean..

    .

if so they are made from copper brake pipe for a car,... just bend it and solder in place with a blow torch and some plumbers solder

  • where did you get the stuff to make the bumper?

  • o shit that is sick i LOVE IT 100/100

  • really nice job!

  • hi thanks for the information any way could you suggest a die cast model car that can be convert to rc car (off road car) please thx

  • cant think of any die-cast models to use?, purely for the fact they are made out of metal (zamak to be exact) and would be to hard to fabricate parts for, and would be to heavy....get a kids toy (plastic) that is big enough to fit 1-10 scale parts or 1-8 scale and then fit it to that....comming acrross the shell is hard tho.....old nitro buggys make for usefull parts due to there big/strong nature

  • I am trying to do the same thing like you but i dont know how to make the Suspension Arms could you help me please... thx

  • suspension is the tricky bit to do! especialy from scratch? what i did was to find parts that already function as suspension, and then apply them to the build...

it saves alot of work...you can always buy new springs to make it softer or harder once you have added your doner parts!

    get scrounging!!!! >;0)

  • dont know TBH....its quite big! lol i would say maybe 1-8 scale ???? not so sure...its 32inchs long and stands 13 inches hi ..>;0P

i am going to build another one soon from scratch....usning the same credo of spending no money! on it and using only parts i can find!!...it should be fun cuz i have no more shells to start with

  • what scale is that

  • its all about the gears!! >:0).....i am drawing up plans for another one at the mo, but not sure what direction i am going in,

it will eather be, all function? or looking good??...i try will to get a bit of both!

  • great job i want to do that but its hard getting the gears rite

  • i found it in a toy store on discount? it had a few parts broken on it...and was reduce from something stupid like £80 down to £5!!! so it made the perfect shell, for cheep money

  • where did u get the land rover 3 from?

  • i got the parts etc from an old tamiya nitro buggy, i dont know the model number sorry,...i just choped the susspension mounts off, with diff and axels in place, i then cut and fit into place on the land rover chassis and bolted together....

the land rover started out as a simple toy i found on sale and for discount at a local toy store,

  • TBH i wont be selling it. sorry fella....i feel honored that you asked, its not that hard to do, all you need is a good (base) to start with and lots of fresh ideas

i am working on a tank at the mo!!!!! its taken me almost a month to get the tracks working so ....persavirance my friend

  • ok well where did you get this particular truck? the land rover stock?

  • hey how much would you sell it for? since your making another and im not that good at making them yet.. just wondering if youd sell some of them?

  • Hi can u tell me from where u got the suspension parts?i meen from which car. 10x

  • yeah got it from an house battery drill.. i rigged the gear selector up to a servo,.. it gets really really tourqey on low gear so its great at climbing..

i am working o a tank at the mo >:0) but running out of parts lol. i will post a video up of that when done

  • did you get the motor and the gear reduction kit from a drill??..great job man looks great!!..GREAT idea/!!..

  • that's an awesome rig. let me know if you ever wanna sell it, i'd love to buy it.

  • Good job, very good idea

  • thanks.. i'm collecting more parts as we speek for another build..althought i still continue to mod' the land rover...i will get a better video cam and take some movies of it working soon

  • Nice work. Outstanding.

    I`m waiting for continue%)

  • I used the drill because its very hi torque and had metel gear box, which moved smooth and slow for acurate movment, and i could then tie it into a servo and have a two speed transmsion used from the controler,

I did made a video but the quality is rubbish :( ...I need a better motion camera

  • pretty cool work man. how about some videos of it running? could you explain using the drill for your transmission?
