You just contaminated the bottle you dipped your brush into, also you just contaminated your brush by touching it; all the germs and oils from your fingers just transferred into your brush!!!!
so she contaminates a whole bottle of acetone by sticking the brush in the bottle, rather than decanting a small amount into a container. THIS VIDEO IS SO WRONG
i washed my brush in brush cleaner and now wat was my flat 8# pro sculpt if a fat fluffy non pointed mess, help me it wont re shape and i it not to fat to use as a normal brush,, HELP ME! :):)
you shouldn't clean your brush with acetone, you should keep it clean during application and then clean it with monomer straight after you have finished using it.
@lomboy09 i've had it once, that my brush was hard. and i dipped it in monomer and let it soak for a while, then i gently picked the acrylic out with a toothpick, and I still use that same brush.
you might pull some hairs out, but you can still use it.
WOW!! what the heck was that all about?! You should clean your brushes with monomer and by the way NEVER TOUCH YOUR BRUSHES HAIRS WITH YOUR FINGERS!!!! iF YOU HAVE TO CLEAN YOUR BRUSH WITH ACETONE ITS BECAUSE YOU HAVE PROBLEMS WITH YOUR APPLICATION .
You're not taking good care of them you're WRECKING them. Clean them in monomer after you use acetone, yucky how could you dip the whole brush in acetone, ew ew ew.
Acetone IS nail polish remover. It's a certain type. There's Acetone and non-acetone. Non-acetone still has acetone it, just not very much. You may feel like it's drying your nails or skin out but it's not your nails it's just the acetone. It almost leaves a dry white residue which you can wash off. :)
It's as STRONG as perm solution. I don't find it smells anything like it. I don't know where you're from but here in Canada you're taught to wear masks...for that reason and it is VERY hazardous for your health. Plus, when you get a perm professionally normally the stylist gives you a towel for your face so it's a little easier on you. lol

acetone will ruin your brushes, it is very drying and it will dehydrate you brush so it won't pick up properly.
THINK ABOUT IT ... would you use acetone on your hair?
nailzoo 2 years ago 10
You just contaminated your entire bottle of acetone. Good job.

I agree this method is not good! When you pay 40 to 80 dollars for a brush this is not going to cut it!
BabyGangstaABC 2 years ago
Why do you dip the whole brush in acetone? That will only get acrylic into the whole bottle.

how do you clean bio gel of a brush you have just used?
chelsieuk 3 years ago
The correct way of cleaning an acrylic brush is to wipe it with clean fresh monomer until the brush is clean.
Cleaning a brush with acetone or brush cleaner will dry the fibres out, do that and you might just as well wave you're brush goodbye.
