  • @naamaruupa Thank you for pointing to the Gitassara Sutra. In it the Buddha does explain the five dangers of reciting the Dharma with a musical intonation. The Buddha explains the dangers, i.e. feeding attachment to beautiful sounds (this too keeps one bound to compulsive rebirth), irritating householders, etc. The Buddha(s) never condemn anybody who chants with a musical intonation though, or anybody anyway. They are ingenious scientists of how the mind works. May All Beings Be Happy!

  • Beatiful

  • thank you allah iam muslem

  • SWEEEEEEEEEEETT!!!

  • @naamaruupa

Erm, well actually there is nothing "musical" about this. This is just their way of doing things. Everything used is very symbolic and by no means is used for musical means. For Westerners, when Theravada monks chant the Dhamma, it sounds like singing. But to them (Theravada people), are the Theravada monks singing? no.

  • chanting mantra or watching or guarding mind . which is important

  • @geishazoejules there is still the mystery of the motive force, that there is a wheel, that could be seen as a divine creator although to conceive of it as sentient might be far from the mark.

  • that's awesome..would be nice to organise a concert where the representatives from every(that tech peace and compassion) religion would do their performance ;)

  • who said they are atheists, I think the buddha taught how to end suffering, not weather or not there is a single God .

  • How can the cup be both empty and full? We are everything - and at the same time - we are nothing.

  • wow my neighburs cat sat next to the comp, that means it is really powerful, and she is sitting next to me now and I can touch her! She didin´t want me to touch her before. She rally loves it :D thats amazing!

  • omm. thanks so much. i just made alot of changes in my life and the buddha is with me all the way. free tibet . lets all pray for tibet and the llama.

  • Beautiful! Thanks for sharing it.

  • I can't get enough of them! Please post more! And thank you!! I LOVE THEM- and TIBET. Please free Tibet from Chinese rule- they are an important loving culture and must maintain their identity

  • I sang like this once for my roommate in college while he was taking psychadelic mushrooms.

He thought I was a bear that was going to eat him.

    It was glorious.

  • @Bhikshu2 That's So Friggin' Funny!!! LMAO

  • @Bhikshu2 HAHAHHAHAHAAAA!

  • so, tibetan buddhism becomes a show business. I am sure, everybody in the audience fully understands what the monks are chanting.

  • @ruzickaw "Tibetan buddhism becomes a show business"

    hopefully everyone attains blessings :)

  • Thank you for posting this totally uplifting film with its spiritual strength. I really appreciate your allowing the video response too...also the Tashi Lhunpo monks.

  • Buddhism is a philosophy not a religion. They are beautiful.

  • @soledestate buddhism has aspects of both philosophy and religion, and it's beauty comes from the fact that it can become either philosophy or religion for those who come across it. but it would be wrong to see that buddhims is not religious just because it does not have a god and discourages blind faith, it still invloves many religous ideas, such as rebirth, for one.

  • @JinnaMaghan I don't know about that. The Buddha didn't teach Buddhism, he taught Dharma. Dharma is not a religion. It transcends religious philosophy and ideology. Practicing mindfulness is what the Buddha stressed. In that mindful awareness one can see how labeling others based on their belief (even calling oneself a Buddhist) can cause thoughts of division and separation. Ideas like, my religion vs your religion. My belief in god vs your belief in no god.

  • @Juanster23 as a buddhist myself, i can honestly say that i feel that buddhism transcends the idea of either religion or philosophy. however, for the average person, buddhism does come with some very religious ideas, ideas such as reincarnation and nirvanna not only in this life but the next. the major difference between buddhism and other systems of thoughts is that the path is more important to than the belief and that the buddha invited us to question and critically analyze all of his ideas

  • @JinnaMaghan jesus said try to stay on the path and get through the small gate, He knew it was impossable only that we try. For only God is perfect.

  • This is most likely the Drepung Monks. I went to see them twice and they are incredible.

  • Blessings of the Infinite Creator upon the earth!

  • The Gospel of Jesus vs religion ?. . Religion is a ritual "Pagan" method! & was before The Gospel of Jesus!. Religion demands idols, money, sex, politics & more superstitions! . Religions exist in minds only!. Religion in not an intelligence, but is a group of fools!. The Gospel speaks it self thru your feelings & not thru your mind!. Religions need meditations, Gospel never, speak clear & short !. "The" Gospel, belongs to Jesus! not flesh..& is The Living word of all creatures. Amen...

  • @juandey Although you believe in your gospel not everyone believes the same way. and as long as your way makes you a better human and brings you peace follow it. But please do not judge others for their beliefs they all have their purpose and bring peace or they would have no following. I have found my peace through my own personal life experience and not what another has said I must believe. I hope you find your peace in your belief....Namaste and god bless.

  • Are you slave of you weakness.. your mind ?. tranquility is not seducing your energy!. Black is (evil)energy, can filtrate it self as positive energy! & pretend to be good is not enough!. Any person can learn or become a good one! . But ur heart don`t think for u! & ur mind is not a feeling! Seducing is a way & drug that can contaminate mind & soul. Evil is aware of you weakness, never knows what is in ur heart , but is able to read ur mind all the time. Your free will is to chose! Amen

  • Religion is not YHWH or Yeshua! . Religion is man imagination. Religion was first than the Gospel of Jesus. Your cat understands it well, but your mind becomes addicted. Blindness is, in ur skull. Man confuse religion with the Gospel". The Gospel tells, you are free to chose! & u must know what you feel & need!. Religion is a method in cultures to satisfied a group & ur free will ! . Amen

  • my cat doesn't seems to hunderstand... I do ! it will...

  • yes and there's a giant teapot encircling the earth

  • @CartierXTRA ..I am sorry for your blindness!

  • very interesting! thank you!

  • FREE TIBET!!!

  • Why are you in this shape as human? I am speaking, what made.. energy, turned this shape, mind, knowledge, feeling as human & then, reproduce only thru humans, to continue humans ?. Can you figure it out? never!!. can u take the soul of a dog, or nature & make it human ?, impossible? & I am testing your meditation, mind & knowledge too! Amen

  • @juandey Kind of like being baptised at birth, Religion is always spread to the young no matter the type of religion. I think all religions have something to offer and all are subject to criticism and negative view points.

  • @juandey Yes like any other religions...

  • i remember seeing monks sing when i was little and it was in like a rather echoe wooden room and the noises were cool

  • Magnifico mantra :)

    Namasre

  • thanks

  • What are the rituals taking place during the chanting and what meaning do they have?

  • this is very peaceful when i hear this i feel my mum around me sharing this feeling with me.

  • Beautiful and powerful sacred chanting, although the monks would be normaly seated.

Harmonizes the vibs and opens some of the psico-spiritaul chanels.

    Omm

  • thanks for posting!

  • It isn't singing. Ask any Tibetan Monk, and they will tell you that they are NOT singing. I made reference to it in conversation with a Tibetan Monk, and was told clearly that it is not singing.

  • You can learn to sing Kargyraa in two weeks...What takes forever and what I have been having trouble with is learning all of the prayers. That is what takes years....

  • This is a pure religion staff.

  • "It's insane, because they train there entire lives just to sing like this and worship. Especially for the really low throat singers they begin at a very young age to develop their voice into this phenomenon"

you really don't know much about it then eh?

It's about learning to relax and use a part of your throat, definitly not a lifetime, takes a week or 2 to learn how to do it...and maybe a few years to master..

The fact they sing in chorus with each other is what makes it sound interesting..

  • @Bative I am a female and sing this deep it is a matter of relaxing and letting your voice come from within. they do sound very neat when they sing together. Namaste

  • so cool ! , you might like Mongolian throat singing it's also amazing ! cheers

  • thanks for sharing and not taking "religion" too serioulsy

  • amazing !!!

  • Absolutely wonderful!!

  • I remember these chants when I was 8, they always spent a chill to my spine, but they really opened my eyes and gave me thirst for more world culture.
