  • Any chance of getting a video tribute in the this vein for DKC2? Or does it already exist, thus making this comment worthless?

  • super nintendo rocks harder than games out there these days. games of the 2000's try too hard to make their games as realistic and movie like as can be. even the music from the nintendo, genesis, super nintendo etc. from the 80's and 90's kills the music in the video games today, the music from today sound like you are watching a movie instead of playing a game.

  • My brother and I grew up on this game and I bought a Super NES just for this and the second one(not so fond of the third) This is an awesome tribute to the game. Thanks for posting.

Great use of the OC Remixes btw. That is some of the best music out there.

  • @SaradThamia I appreciate the comment.Thanks.

  • @BetaB0ss No problem. Thanks for sharing your work. I've been enjoying watching this. If you are interested in Star Wars, CSI, CSI; Miami, Special Victims Unit or NCIS, I have made several videos and I would love your input on them. Hope I get to see more of your work soon. Thanks. ;)

May the Force be with you.

  • i fricking love this game. donkey and diddy were the ultimate dynamic duo. K. Roll never stood a chance. thumbs up if you agree

  • I Love Love Love the Donkey Kong Country Game series!:DThank u so much for the vid. Donkey Kong Country 2 is my Absolute favorite out all of them ^-^

  • OYE ME ENSEÑAS A ASER UN VIDEO CON UNA IMAJEN BUENA

  • I loved this game back then. Still do. :D

  • Great to see people working tributes like this.

First DKC is my favourite platform -game of all time...

-When the only thing you can possibly imagine complaining is that classic "we want more", then they surely did something right with this game...

  • I remember playing this game when I was 5 or 6. I'm seriously going to sell my Xbox 360 and buy a Super Nintendo and buy all the DK games.

  • Hopefully, games will someday be this good again...

  • There was something so satisfying yet fustrating about those Animal bonus levels.

  • This is a greatly put together video, you actually put care into the visuals and music to meld together while showing actual specific points of the game in style. Well done. Good watch, need more !!

  • Donkey Kong for ever!!!

    REALLY GOOD WORK MAN!!!

and finally we have to wait a new donkey kong country in real classic style!

i have see the teaser trailer at nintendo conference E3.

yes the developers it isent RAREWARE, but whatching this video a said that is very cool!!!

  • Damm RARE WHY YOURE NOT WITH NINTENDO ANYMORE BUT microsoft

  • Beautifully done!

  • this is one of my favorite games and song and i am a big fan of it. good job.

  • I love this game almost as much as I love the sequel (dkc3 is great also, it just lacks a certain something...)

man i've had these since i was like 4 years old, it's amazing they're still just as awesome

  • dude i was horny in this game

so classic so good .. i even love this more then super mario..

    5/5 stars

PS: i beated this game when i was 5 ^^

  • @Sajjkodudde22 horny?

  • @SeboHyatt

    well overreacting xD

  • @Sajjkodudde22 lol okay.

  • @Thifer20 oh. but conker's bad fur day was their last n64 game. it came out in 2001. and yes, it was the last dkc franchise

  • @Thifer20 no conker's bad fur day for the n64 was their last n64 game

  • This game was VERY popular. It also made DK a unique character, rather than always being linked to the original Donkey Kong.

  • star fox adventure for gc was actually. but i do believe dk64 was their last n64 game together. good times (:

  • Wow I forgot how awesome the SNES version was

They really dummed it down for the GBA... the backgrounds were so awesome

  • Yoshi's island, DKC 1& 2, SMB 3, Super Mario World, EarthWorm Jim 1&2. Definitely some of the top 10 plataformers ever, and top 20 videogames ever, imho.

  • @FelipeChoque

i have never beaten Earthworm Jim.

  • umm just one complaint

the name of that second song is

aquatic ambience not ambient gemini xD

  • I think it's just the Remix's title.

  • oh ok

i would reply before but i played mario and luigi superstar saga

man that game is realy addicting xD

  • yeah I know it's a great game :)

  • 1:29

i think i was ten when i played this, and those gold rhino thingies for some reason always reminded of Cap'n Crunch cereal!

  • ahh how nostalgic. i used to love the ostrich mini game :D

  • 0:26 that scene (with the dramatic music) always scared the hell out of me when I was 8.

  • They don't make games like this anymore. It's either overly macho FPS's or baby games.

The classics like DK and Mario had a certain magic about them that made them fun for everyone. Unlike the stupid minigames we have today like DK Jungle Beat.

  • yeah i agree cant any1 be original anymore =-= and yeah they dont make classics anymore that any1 can enjoy

  • funny you mention overly macho FPS's because they made fun of games like that in DKC when you visit Cranky he says the hero shouldnt be a bunch of apes it should be a really big and muscular guy with a gun, i also find it funny how even 15 years ago macho tough guys with guns was already being considered cliche yet the concept still goes on in games like gears of war, i guess game designers lost their sense of imagination over the years

  • the first part, the makers just added color and small differences, and voila, you turn donkey kong from old game boy to a new one :)

  • 6:39 I used to always think DK was doing the robot

  • first video game i ever played, and still is my favorite, probably one of the best soundtracks for a video game

  • imo DKC2 had a superior soundtrack and is overall a better game. DKC has more ambient music which is great, but nowhere near as memorable as DCK2.

  • Truth!

  • What's that kongs banana hoard for?

  • Its for the story of DKC. His hoard was stolen, and as he fights the bosses and eventually K. Rool, he gets it all back (shown at the end of the video).

  • Another great video. I wish rare and nintendo still were together. No Donkey Kong game beats this classic!

The capcom theme,, I didnt expect to hear it on this video, lol.

  • rare was sow better in nintendo

  • Lol everytime i hear the capcom theme i always expect to hear the street fighter music start.

  • This was one of the few games in wich I actually liked the water levels, mostly because of Enguarde, he was awesome!

  • the Ambient Gemini theme sends chills down my spine, im still working on passing some of the water levels.

  • lol the beginning music with your name was from the aladdin game for super nintendo xD i have that game

  • Actually I got it from street fighter II turbo for the snes, but its exactly the same thing. haha I am impressed. I didn't think anyone would recognize that.

  • woah then it must have been the people who publish games, cause its on aladdin too =]

  • ya, its the capcom logo :D

  • thats the one! lol! forgot. anywhom good editing on this video =]

  • :D lol i recognized it from UN Squadron for snes, its tehre on start also :)

  • Actually, it's from basically any capcom game made in the early to mid 90's..which includes Aladdin, Street fighter, megaman, etc.

  • este video el quien lo iso es de lo mejor el video esta bien suave

  • amazing game man. i still play this shit now

  • i grew up on this game:D:Dperfect shotut

  • this is the best fukn game ever!!!!

  • this vid should be televised thanks for the memories!!

  • In my books, nothing beats DKC1, or FF7. Both amazing games that I grew up playing when I was younger. Everyday at my baby sitters all of us kids would fight for a turn to play DKC1, we never beat it, but we always came awfully close. Great memories.

  • One of the greatest game ever made and imo the greatest platform game ever made.

  • Memories... huh? *wish tears away*

  • Donkey kong country rules!!! its the best classic game ever!!.. it brings back memories that i wont forget. i am glad i grew up playing these games and i am glad to say that i still play the games and still own them :).

  • Perfect sync in the beginning.

  • I'd just like to point out that I've entirely beaten all three, and IMHO 2 is deffinetly the best... However, in both 2 and 3 they removed my favourite animal buddies from the first game. sure rattly the rattlesnake kinda made up for winky the frog, but there was no replacement for esspresso, he was the best animal buddie! I own all three on the wii's virtual console and I can easily say great things about all of them, but I'd prefer 1 or 2 anyday to 3.

  • which of the donkey kong coun try games is the best?

  • My friend likes 2 the most. I don't have it, I only have 1 and 3.

1 is easier, the most basic, and the only one which has Donkey Kong as playable character (Damn!) number 2 and 3 have NO DONKEY KONG!!! I hate that.

I like 1 the most: it's more simple. Less collectable items, simple world map.

Number 3 has a huge world map with boats, DK coins hidden in all levels, a secret world unlockable with BONUS coins, Banana birds (I don't know what they do) and you have more moves.

    Too much stuff...

  • ok thanks i wanted to know so i could get it on my wii i think ill go with 2 because i search it and alot of people say two is the best

  • In terms of gameplay, I would say DKC2 and DKC3 are tied. DKC3 has some really nice unique levels and bosses, while DKC2 has great challenging level designs.

But overall, DKC2 is the best IMHO. The pirate theme, the characters, and THE MUSIC (without a doubt some of the best VG music ever made) just makes it a better overall game.

DKC3 kinda lost a bit of the charm that the first game brought with its technology theme. With that said, its still an excellent game

  • SirGnork is right about DKC1 being the simplest. There isn't a whole lot of variety in the levels (you are always going from left to right, the animal buddies don't play a big role, and bosses repeat). Its a great game that everyone remembers, but DKC2 improves on it in every way.

  • i personally prefer vigilante's version to ambience! it sounds much more relaxing but this one i like too it sticks to the originial

    ^^

  • Thats exactly what I thought when I was deciding which one to use in the video. I personally like remixes that are closer to the originals. But vigilante's is still an excellent remix.

  • Great D.K. video! Tnx!

  • good memories

  • i could nvr beat this game lol

  • lol i remember this game!! so awesome!! lol its one of my fav. games. lol no days its just easy but fun to play. anyone else here beat it in under 1 hour?

  • The rhino was always my fave *o*

  • man why dose remmbering these things bring tears to my eyes i just cant understand why remansing can make you feel so sad any way great vid man

  • ;') i know this sounds weird but bro u made it work everyone who is watching this is remembering the Greatest Trilogy of games made.... great vid im crying

  • AWESOME video!! 5 stars for you.

  • man i remember playing this at my cousins house.i remember all the songs and im about to sample the water level on a rap song too.god this bought back memories i almost cried

  • Nice choice of music to sample. Using that theme pretty much guarantees that it is going to be great.

  • ...(a tear from my eye) this really bring back memories.. i can still remember when i was a little kid and i was sittingand played this game, i didnt have a SNES myself, soo i went always to my friend which have one soo i could play a my biggest nintendo star off al time...Donkey Kong... this is really nice, 12 out of 10 stars... fantastic game, beatiful music, and a amazing video... ty for making this

  • Thank you very much for the comment. DKC always brings back great memories. :D

  • this is my favorite snes game..this and mario world of course

  • Great choices. :D

  • I usually dont request things but could you do one for chrono trigger, or castlevania, or super ghouls n ghosts or legend of zelda link to the past (just one of those would be alright and you don't have to if you don't want to)

  • ah memories

  • yeah, its been bugging me how rare and Nintendo rarely make any more games together!

  • To this day, this game stands as one of the pinnacles in gaming achievement. Not only did it mark the return of a gaming icon, but it fully utilized the capabilities of the SNES and pretty much declared "in your face" to all the naysayers who claimed the 16-bit era was at its end. Of course, it was also an absolute blast to play from start to finish. Five stars for a fantastic video!

  • Thanks for the comment! DKC is definitely a gaming achievement. While I don't consider the gameplay to be revolutionary, it is still extremely fun and just what DK needed. That, plus its fantastic charm and style, is why it will be remembered by gamers forever.

  • oh the memories, i wanna play again, i remember i played this when i was like 5, i liked donkey kong country 2 more though, it seemed a lot longer than the original

  • Yes, I agree. While DKC is the most memorable, my favorite of the trilogy has to be DKC 2. The pirate theme, level design, and gameplay are all superior imo. And the music is really outstanding. It is a tough game for beginners, but I love the challenge.

  • true that DK2 had some really hard levels...but I always thougth toxic tower was the hardest level in any DK game

  • I love the music when you swim. Brings back so many memories. Thanks for sharing!

  • This game rocked, the music was awsome to

  • this was more than just a game!

  • please in need to know where to download this game on the pc!!

  • Good!!! The Donkey Kong Country Saga is my favourite game! I also make videos from this game. This is one of the few good music videos I have seen of this game.

    Congratulations!

  • nice vid! Back to the old good days<3

  • i use to hav this game and 2,3

they were fun but not easy

but i was able to get every thing in 2 and 3

but not the frist one becaues it was tough

  • Great Video, and great game, and great music... I think im going to cry....

  • 3:24 how in the heck did you get 2 Enguardes?

  • its easy in one of the water levels there is two enguarde boxes just dont loose the other one

  • ey man.. seriosly.. i dont reply to alot of videoes, but this one is the most deserving i have ever seen. I remember sitting playing it at my cousins when i was like 5(im 18 now), only the first track, over and over and over again. Couple of months ago, i found my SNES, wich i kinda got from my cousin, and when i finaly completed it, it felt like one of the biggest victories in my life. Sad but true.

Btw, how do you get the picture from the snes onto you computer?

    Love it

  • An emulation software perhaps

  • they need to make a donkeykong country game for the WII!!!!!!!!!

  • hell yeah!!

  • Unlikely Though,Rare is now microsoft Property

  • Fuck Microsoft

  • wow, i want to play thig game so bad right now! great vid, thanks for uploading!

  • Some of the music in Donkey Kong were actually quite beautiful.

  • Donkey Kong Land 1 had this awesome song for the underwater ruins levels, if only it was on better hardware...

  • I love the Ambient Gemini music, and Thrash the Plank is awesome also

  • Yes, they are great remixes. :)

  • This game is the reason why i made it through elementary school. Thx

  • I play that game almost every day on the SNES

    So Much FUN

  • Yeah, this game rocks and you have superb editing/timing

  • Thank you.

  • Nice editing. I like how the action fits with the tempo of the music.

  • nice 1!

  • i have that game for game boy color

  • i never got 101% but still a grate game, and what was that at 3:26 as in how did that happen

  • There are two Enguardes in that level, so I set them up like that.

  • Oh, the nostalogia...

  • Wow! I forgot all about this game! I'm gonna go play it right now!

  • Another amazing tribute, awesome.

I still think GB's Donkey Kong Land is the cream of the series though.

  • Thanks for the comments. Hmmm DKL for the GB....I have heard alot of good things about that game...maybe I should play it one day. :)

  • corny!

  • if it's 'corny' why have you saved it to your faves!?

  • ok your right!

    its not corny!

    its cool!

  • Cool, not as well done as your SMW, but I guess Mario is easier to control than DK. There are one or two black pauses that may be unnecessary, but overall I think you've done a good job. I really like how you match the scenes with the music, but that doesn't work during the slow (underwater) scenes of course, you seem better with speed. Like the SMW video you made, this one also have a part that is slow (like SMW ghost house), and I think that is very good and you should keep the pattern.

  • (cont.) The SMW one was so good that I wouldn't mind seeing another one :) but Perhaps SMW2 Yoshi Island could be interesting (though I've only played that on an emulator). Another flexible game could be Super Metroid, there you have a lot of possibilities and also great music. Well, keep up the good work :D

  • Hey, thanks for the great feedback and advice. It can be very difficult and time consuming to make these vids with windows movie maker, so sometimes I overlook things. I should start looking for another editing software....and those two games you mentioned were two that I had really considered being in my next video lol

  • I HOPE UR WORKIN ON DKC2 NEXT

  • lol dude this game was the reason y i got SNES when I was 6
