It's because she doesn't want to put her cards down. (if u know anything about poker if she lays her cards down face down it'l be a fold, if they're face up, she can see her cards) That's my interpretation of this.

How soon do I have to tell you, probably referring to her wanting to check her licence, or maybe just needs the extra time to remember.
