this is Adam & Jun from V.I.B.E., we are two 15 year olds from Japan who rap x sing, please help us in our goal to make good music for you by telling us where we are, and where we need to get to in order to make that good music for you.
@shaboom9999 Yess thank someone who knows. Dilla was probably behind the buttons but you can defintely hear other influence, especially from Q-tip. Mans just be working on a beat together haha
first heard this in like 5th grade and had know clue who Dilla was, cum 2 find out he was responsible for all this shit from pharcyde, common, a tribe called quest ex.
@sponserdsk8ter The UMMAH is the production camp consisting of Q TIP, ALI SHAHEED and JAY DEE, but each individual can produce by themselves. On the LOVE MOVEMENT, it states all records produced by JAY DEE is credited as J YANCEY. and this record was not produced by him. Either you do not by records or cd's or you just can't be bothered to read the credit notes. If you want me to tell you which ones JAY DEE produced, then say so.
@TheLuvrat damn, niggas take it to the heart on youtube lmao. who cares, i don't care if ET made this music, its a masterpiece album so im going to listen :-)
and no, i don't buy records or Cd's. Im 15 so records don't exist to me lol. i prefer digital. but thanks for the info,
J Dilla is/was/will be one nasty son-of-a-bitch forever. I think his beats and Q-Tip's voice have quite the symbiotic relationship. I'm telling everyone reading this, if this beat suits your taste, then you need to check out my channel and prolly subscribe to that shit, cause I garauntee there's a chunk of shit you all've never heard, and if you got some nasty beats that I prolly haven't heard of, let me know so we can cross-contaminate our playlists.
maaaan.......crazy how back in the day, 1998 was just another year and now we're looking back on that like we did for '94-99.....Most of us on here were just kids back then but damn.....you can't help but to wonder what the hell would happen if they ever came out with Time Machines. lol.
the track contains many of the stylings of each member of the ummah...tip's snares, muhammed's bass drums, and dilla's keyboard loops...just a thought
This is my shit I love it takes me back to 1998 my sophomore year in high school around the end of the football season just starting training for hoops
Damn this shit was on my mind and I was gonna come let out my thoughts on the song but I guess I did a week ago. That's how it be with the Tribe, you lose track of time.
Every time I put this song on while I'm driving I feel like I need to take out the passenger seat because of the room I'm taking up while I groove out.
@arlingcay If you're in a setting where you're forced to hear it (like me) it sucks. Imagine working in a bar with so-called "hood" people... in Denver. It's bad enough that they're behind the curve on most things but imagine being immersed in it. AARGH!!
The greatest group to come out of Hiphop music. And there has been some great groups over the years. But those other groups didn't have the musical variety like A Tribe called Quest did. Plus added to that they had J Dilla with them for some of the way....

True statement, well said you cant compare the old school with heart and soul to the new shit which is just about getting some bread.
We dont hear beats like these ne more with the ill flows and smooth noises
All we hear now is money, cars, and egos being rapped over electronic voices
Hip hop aint dead but these new cats are doing a good job killing it
Thats the difference between the real mc's who didnt just drop one album THEY LIVED IT!!!!
