  • first heard this in like 5th grade and had know clue who Dilla was, cum 2 find out he was responsible for all this shit from pharcyde, common, a tribe called quest ex.

  • @LABreeze2287 dilla didn't produce this one, q tip did.

  • @LABreeze2287 dilla didn't produce this one, q tip did.

  • @TheLuvrat the ummah did

  • @sponserdsk8ter The UMMAH is the production camp consisting of Q TIP, ALI SHAHEED and JAY DEE, but each individual can produce by themselves. On the LOVE MOVEMENT, it states all records produced by JAY DEE is credited as J YANCEY. and this record was not produced by him. Either you do not by records or cd's or you just can't be bothered to read the credit notes. If you want me to tell you which ones JAY DEE produced, then say so.

  • @TheLuvrat damn, niggas take it to the heart on youtube lmao. who cares, i don't care if ET made this music, its a masterpiece album so im going to listen :-)

  • best tribe song...its so chill

  • prob my fav qtip song !

  • J Dilla is/was/will be one nasty son-of-a-bitch forever. I think his beats and Q-Tip's voice have quite the symbiotic relationship. I'm telling everyone reading this, if this beat suits your taste, then you need to check out my channel and prolly subscribe to that shit, cause I garauntee there's a chunk of shit you all've never heard, and if you got some nasty beats that I prolly haven't heard of, let me know so we can cross-contaminate our playlists.

  • maaaan.......crazy how back in the day, 1998 was just another year and now we're looking back on that like we did for '94-99.....Most of us on here were just kids back then but damn.....you can't help but to wonder what the hell would happen if they ever came out with Time Machines. lol.

  • I love that sound from 0:16-0:19... So fresh!

  • @Kramer390 agree wat a tune . .

  • the future begins...

  • Classicc

    Dilla Dogg

    fresh Dilla and q-tip sound.

  • jay dee + tribe = produced by the ummah

  • love this man

  • so raw nd original.

  • Gives me goosebumps shits ill

  • Such a ill record. Classic Hip Hop. One of the best groups ever.

  • the track contains many of the stylings of each member of the ummah...tip's snares, muhammed's bass drums, and dilla's keyboard loops...just a thought

  • Sounds more like a Q-tip production based on his trademark sharp snares

  • This is my shit I love it takes me back to 1998 my sophomore year in high school around the end of the football season just starting training for hoops

  • summer '98. 6th grade. vivid reminder.

  • Killa track =)

    fucking shit man !!

    i love it

    peace from spain

  • i don't like credis like "produced by ummah"

    who did what?

  • Check the writing credits. If "J. Yancey" is read in there, then he most likely produced the track. I don't think he did this one but I'm not sure.

  • Damn this shit was on my mind and I was gonna come let out my thoughts on the song but I guess I did a week ago. That's how it be with the Tribe, you lose track of time.

  • Every time I put this song on while I'm driving I feel like I need to take out the passenger seat because of the room I'm taking up while I groove out.

  • @kingster911 ...HAA HAA...lol...i feel ya on this one....this jam will vibrate the car next to you if you have a nice system.

  • @kingster911 lol!

  • A lot of people be complaining about Hip Hop today and how it lacks soul and skill, and I agree.

But I think it's important to remember that no one is making you listen to that shit.

Just chill, listen in, and feel happy knowing you know what it's all about : )

  • @arlingcay exacly man . . cudnt agree more . .

  • @arlingcay amen bro!

  • @arlingcay If you're in a setting where you're forced to hear it (like me) it sucks. Imagine working in a bar with so-called "hood" people... in Denver. It's bad enough that they're behind the curve on most things but imagine being immersed in it. AARGH!!

  • @arlingcay

    for shizzle my nizzle

  • @arlingcay if i could i would thumbs up this comment a hundred times

  • The greatest group to come out of Hiphop music. And there has been some great groups over the years. But those other groups didn't have the musical variety like A Tribe called Quest did. Plus added to that they had J Dilla with them for some of the way....

They have influenced so many HipHop Groups and acts along the way as well. Wow, just listening to this track alone shows you why, and this isn't one of the most well known tracks for them if you know what I mean.

  • The love movement had me in the zone for a long time.:))

  • listen to illa j hes underground but possibly can save hip hop

  • hip hop is not dead but illa j is dope, check out elzhi though he is hard

  • they just don't make hiphop like they use to. nowadays "hiphop" is as fake as the rap that has taken the soul out of the music

  • its all commercial and about money makin

  • haha OC knows wussup

  • For some artist it will be about makin money mainly. Not all artist are going to be motivated by the samethings. Just buy and promote the music you like.

  • When I hear ATCQ, my Mind packs up and leave's for Cloud 9...No matter what is going on in my life, I feel better immediately after hearing songs like this, Lyrics To Go, Common Ground, Busta's Lament, Man I feel great now lol!

  • This is very refreshing to listen to.. with a nice herbal refreshment to match.. DO YOu LIKe IT.. I LOVE it TCQ was the illest

  • wish music these days could compete!! unfortunate it cant..
