@jodywebcam I wasn't suggesting you where over weight just big .if you where working the door and said its time to go, then id think ok its time to go . Keep up the good work .
@MUDSHARK111 I hear ya ,bro!!!!! Luckily, I was always in the band, so we got to stay AFTER everyone was shown the door.......then the party started! Thanks for the chat, man!
@jodywebcam nice playing man, im 14 and this friday im geting my Fender American Standard Stratocaster fixed up for some blues, for the neck pickup im goin with the Texas Specials, and 2 seymour duncan hot rails for the bridge and middle, it would be awesome if you would do some SRV licks and stuff, thanks
I take that back.....email me at the address on the video, and I'll tell you how to get the SRV stuff....they just won't allow a web address to be posted here......
jeez, i love the blues, and you jody, you are pretty damn awsome. there are a few notes here and there that I don't like (yes I know they are in the scales) but thay seem to me to be out of place. ah well, keep it up!
Very nice Jody. I've been playing for about 20 years, but up until now, it's been mostly metal. Recently, I've been getting more into blues. I even picked up a Gibson E-339 to go along with my LP Standard. Gotta say though... I feel like a beginner all over again with this style of music.
Those are great questions..the scheme breaks down in a number of ways: you want the SOUND of a downstroke specifically, for instance. That's usually because you want to rake across deadened strings for emphasis....as far as the long rest goes, you just start a new series when you resume...it's the job of the metronome in your head to keep you in time!
I think you've got a great smooth mellow style. Judging purely on this tune it sounds like you're influenced a little by BB King? But you still have your own individuality. Have you released any music commercially?
wow!

Three questions for all guitarists:
1. Do you follow a picking scheme? (e.g. alternate picking, economy picking, or something else)
2. Do you stick to your scheme even while improvising?
3. If you do, how do you stick to your scheme even if there is a long rest? How do you get a feel for where the downbeats are? Is this even possible?
Thanks,
John
