"Who did the killing?" Hmm. My money's on Alice Horton.

Is this the James E Reilly era? Only there are some striking similarities here to the big murder mystery on Sunset Beach a few years later, and he was in charge of that. Thoroughly nasty man is murdered, many possible culprits, his daughter the main suspect. Mind you, that storyline led to a naked escape from hospital, a near cremation, and a visit to the dead bloke in hell, so maybe I shouldn't be looking for too many parallels...

Good old Sunset Beach. It turned rubbish halfway through its run (although the plans for the projected fourth year, had it not been axed, were annoyingly promising). In its glory days it was quite unmissably insane.
