  • i reckon this is one of the best songs i've heard

  • wooow.. thats exactly how i answer parrents questions :3

  • Having 2 sons of this age, I think this song sums them up perfectly! Very clever and funny. Goon onya Pete! I continue to watch it years on - and that's saying something!

  • I think it's hilarious. Great.

  • Pete ~ I'm a kiwi and I think your song is the funniest thing I've heard for ages.

    You're a legend mate!!!!!

I heard it played on NZ National radio today for the 1st time and was hooked.

Of course I have two sons who are the epitomy of your musing.

Bloody funny ~ Good onya mate. Keep up the good work.

    Cheers

  • im aussie, and this is SOOO me

  • Fantastic!

  • Had this played in our school assembly a couple days ago, was pretty damn good - great representation of teenagers eh! Cheers mate

  • Funny as!

  • So so so so true!!! Not ALL teenagers, but alot! Lol

  • My name is Mike from LA Although there busizz4me.info

  • I'm a teenager and have a lot of friends like this. Brilliant song, you're and amazing writer Pete :) Hope to see you in Tamworth 2011

  • Right, everyone that keeps going on about, "That's not how teenagers talk," should get over themselves. Most of you are speaking from a teenager's point of view and are therefore biased in your opinion. I reckon it's a great song, and quite true as well. I am probably the only teenager who would say this, but I for one agree with it

  • @TimTheTallMan1 as do i!

  • How very sad that so many who comment here are devoid of a sense of humour. I blame you Pete, you are irresponsible in that you have not included a URL for those who don't understand, to a site where they can get a personaility and/or funnybone transplant. Wan't to replace Jooliya as our PM? I'll vote for you.

  • i love how the coke bottle in the backround just stays in the ONE place the whole time while everything changes .haha.

  • It's official, Australian accents are the coolest <3

  • hahahaaa thats how my BF tlks to his mum. hahahaaa

  • If i was in that situation in the clip I would reach across and shake the hell out of him. although it is a good representation (teenagers, look up the meaning of it ( representation ) .its in the dictionary you might have heard of a dictionary ) Ive been nearly that drunk.

  • i love this song:) but gahhh i wanna fix thats guys fringeee!!

  • Sorry, but i'm considered a 'teenager' and this is not the life either I or my friends live. This is just another stereotyped idea of what it is to be a 'teenager'. It's rather sad really.

  • @goodmorningchap its the life a lot live and its vastly different from how I lived as a teenager .I could communicate . you know its a part of everyday life and it doesnt involve technology.

  • Was this the song that was initially written about a man working in his shed, but proved to be relevant about teenage communication as well?

  • i want cake now

  • Oh god. This is my life. :L

Haha. he looks like the biggest pothead.:L

  • You know, this song should be called "Ode to Teenage Life". Just saying

  • Absolutely hilarious!! Great video!!

Reminds me sooo much of my brother!! Love it.

  • I never get tired of this song .... it's great ....just great. 4 those who don't like it, there's a Disney World out there somewhere,

  • This is brilliant! Love the music but the message is really funny - as a mum of 2 teenage sons I can really relate to this. Actually, it was my youngest who showed me it, proving that some youngsters can laugh at themselves too. All the stuff on the table and the ever present (if varying, but generally unhealthy) foods made me laugh too. Very well observed piece of musical comedy and also quite gentle - you could've been really nasty! Lol! Loved it, thank you xx

  • @MyRomany1 hi there. that dude is actually my big brother

  • I love this so so much

  • I am not sure if this was a "hit" for you or not but as a novelty song it craps all over shaddupa you face or even australiana by mike gudunski's cousin from caulfield...

  • i love this song can you do some lyrics please ?

  • Kinda brilliant actually- I've got a teen and thankfully he's not that closemouthed. But I've known plenty of young guys who were. :)

  • They're both annoying! :/

  • love this song. reminds me of my brother =D

  • Funny whe asker is so full enthuasityty and teen jus like answer "dunno"

  • awesome!

  • awesome song , and any parent of teenagers would relate to it

  • Joseph Thompson played this the other morning on the abc,and it is infuriatingly catchy.

  • Oh my god, finally, someone who actually looks good in a fedora! (or trilby, maybe?)

  • typical first date, lol

  • great work pete. still funny a year after the first time i watched it!

  • Wow.. it's like i'm looking at myself in the mirror

  • LMAO, I have loved this song and many others for ages. Got to see it performed live at the 2010 Gympie Muster.

What a great show and introduced new people to the comical genius that is Pete Denahy.

    Thanks

  • This is really well done. Still love it. when the camera is behind you though, you remind me of Dicky Knee.

  • haha i've come back to this video so many times over the past 3 years xD and every time i marvel at how awesome it is <3

  • PETE you are a bloody legend LOL

  • Are you enjoying cricket?

    Sort of.

    Sort of, eh?

    Yep.

This song so reminds me of every conversation I had with my Dad as a teenager.

  • The kitchen's wall has littles crosses with form of "cruz vasca" (Vasca cross), very famous in Pais Vasco, Spain. Here it's not used for decorate. Only is an emblem of the region. I'm surprised that has this cross out of Spain.

    ¡¡ Saludos a todos !!

  • I LOVE THIS!! Any parent of an American teenager as well can relate to this! So funny!

  • lololol thats madd!!

  • "where'd you go?"

    "no where"

    "who'd you see?"

    "no one"

    "what you do?"

    "nothing"

    "have a good time?"

    "yeah" xD

  • My daughter is a teen and speaks in the same 1-word, dry tone. Like its painful for her to even talk to me. Though she seems quite vivacious and lively when she speaks with her friends. Sent this off straight away to a dozen parents of teens so they can also get a good laugh. Great job capturing teen boredom with adults.

  • this made me laugh so hard xD. epic song mate :)

  • I love this song. It is very funny and insightful. I tell alot of people about it. If you have any understanding of adolescents (if this is possible) then you will get this song. Thank you very much punki07. I need to buy it somewhere.

  • @berniewestley Thanks, Bernie-

If you want this on cd or dvd, let me know!

    Regards,

    Pete

  • @punki07 hey, i was wondering if i could get a cd of this? It's absolutely hilarious and describes teenagers to a T. (No pun intended)

  • @punki07 I have three boys, ages 25 to 19. This is them about 7 years ago. Brilliant work, truly catches the teenage boy from 14 to 18. Cheers Mick

  • @berniewestley I would like this on dvd.

  • this is a typical teen hahaha

  • I think I see myself from 15 years ago in this (sorry mum & dad) ... and possibly have this to look forward too.. really liked it :)

  • ha i love it, It Sounds Just like me haha!

  • great song & video
