After I hit start installation, it just comes up with a black screen... No progress bar. It has the little White underscore / cursor thing in the top left that keeps flashing. Am I doing anything wrong or do I just have to wait a long time for the progress bar to come up?

You have to read the hdd correctly. it says 17.2gb FREE of 25.3gb, and it only takes 7gb.

@jaggaaz As gt5004life said, use Hackintosh. Although it is not as strate forward as Windows on Boot camp. And on some machines it just won't work. And as you asked if you could use Mac on PC, I will not explain why it doesn't work on some machines. Don't wanna confuse you... :-)

i see that im having the same problem that other people are having with boot camp saying that during the partitioning, it gives an error message saying verification has failed and repair with the disk utility. one option available is backing up all my data and formating my drive but i want to know if this is necessary?

of course the one thing your not supposed to use with Bootcamp is a pre activated copy of Windows as it won't work. It never did any time I tried until I used a normal copy of Windows.
