Narrated Yazid ibn Sa'id al-Kindi: When the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) made supplication (to Allah) he would raise his hands and wipe his face with his hands. (Abu Dawood, Book #8, Hadith #1487)
This is proof from the Sunnah that it is permissible to wipe our faces after we have completed our (individual supplication). Saudi Arabia also do the same thing because it is recorded in the hadith books.
Wiping the face is Sunnah, it clearly shows hadiths so anyone now especially the so called Abu Mussab who declares this bidah is going against our Prophet (SAW) and going against the Prophet (SAW) causes the person to become a Hypocrite or possibly a Disbeliever in Allah and his Messenger.
Brothers wiping the face is Sunnah upon completion of dua.
Is it allowed to make congregational dua after every salah? this case arises if it is a sunnah to make dua after every salah or 2nd case when one is making a personal dua at any time. Im not sure about the intricacies.
Why quote hadith that have nothing to do with the prayer? these hadith narrated below all refer to the Messenger saw being ill and do not mention the the prayer at all, even the one mentioned about going to bed...where dose it say he would do this after the obligatory salaat? somebody please read Irwaa' al-Ghaleel (2/178-182) by Shaykh al-Albaani and it doesnt matter how many people narrate a weak hadith its still weak
lets pray together and not to focus on differences.Pitty things should not be given importance.we all muslim saying lailahaillallah muhammad rasulullah.lets unite to fight our enemies, and not to be the enemies of ourselves
Yahya related from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Urwa ibn az-Zubayr from Aisha that the Messenger of Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam when he had a (physical) complaint, would recite the last three surahs of Quran, over himself and blow. She said, "When his pain was great, I would recite it over him and wipe him with his right hand hoping for its blessing."
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 7.631 Narrated by Aisha RA
During the Prophet's Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam fatal illness, he used to recite the Mu'auwidhat (Surat An-Nas and Surat Al-Falaq) and then blow his breath over his body. When his illness was aggravated, I used to recite those 2 Surahs and blow my breath over him and make him rub his body with his own hand." (Ma'mar asked Az-Zuhri: How did the Prophet SAW use to blow?Az-Zuhri said: He used to blow on his hands and then passed them over his face.
Hey there are SAHIH references why is it not been quoted?????
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 8.331 Narrated by Aisha Radiallahu Anha
Whenever Allah's Messenger Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam went to bed, he (saws) used to blow on his hands while reciting the Mu'auwidhat ( i.e. Suratal-Falaq 113 and Surat-an-Nas 114) and then pass his hands over his body.
@harisnsiddiqui yes you are right there is even proof from sheikh bin baaz if they click on show more. wiping the face after dua is supported by the salaf too, i wonder what the salafis think of ijma as sahaba? do they refute it completely
I watched a lecture the other day and the imam said this was not allowed, i was confused. Thanks to you the confusion is now gone. May Allah reward u.
@oneummah2010 I KNOWWWW, me too! im trying to gain knowledge here but it gets so difficult when sheikhs have different opinions.. (May Allah make it easy on us all) Ameen :)
The people on this channel are. The Malikis, Shafi'ees and Hambalis are also on the haq - and so will we be, insha-allah, if we follow one of these madhabs. Deobandi means Hanafi in this instance - not Bareylvis - who are dodgy.
a weak hadith is not a false fabricated hadith and the mujatihdeen practiced the practice of their people, i.e sahaba and lots of tabi'een

Umar bin Khattab (ra) reports: When Rasullulah (saw) would raise his hands in du'a he would not lower them, until he passed them over his face.
(Tirmidhi)
Ibn Hajr Asqalani has classified this hadith as "Sound" in Bulugh Al-Maraam
