  • Have had a few enquiries about the music. The soundtrack was by Kim McCroddanm who worked at the famous Radiophonic Workshop at the BBC.

The track had no specific title or name.

  • At the end, what was the movie that you made for the crash?

  • BBC made it in 1953 with different ending, titled London to Brighton in 4 minutes.

  • this is the London to Brighton in 5 minutes film, shown on tv sometimes, normal ending shows it pulling into Brighton station right up to the buffers, the end of the line.It is quite a few years old.

  • this was the film shown a lot of years ago, London to Brighton in 5 minutes, has been shown on the BBC before, except for the last coloured part which is not original.

  • That's what happens when you travel using only a platform ticket.

  • The Great Silver Streak Train Crash

  • fuck you yankee bastard!

  • Haha.. that was funny :- ) The film at the end is 'Silver Streak' with Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor in it, from 1976.

  • No no no The end is from the Movie Silver Streak with Gene Wilder

  • haha! what film is the end bit from?

  • This train is traveling at 983 mph!

  • How fast is this train going? It starts at 0 in London and crashes at 3:13 in Brighton, a distance of 52.7 miles according to Google. 52.7 miles/(3+13/60 minutes)*60 minutes/hour = 983 mph. This train is going at nearly 1,000 mph, faster than a commercial airplane!

  • How the hell did an American loco get on the British railway ?

  • *Train hits wooden table in gift shop* *EXPLOSION*

  • that a uk train its from the use at the end

  • its not casandra crossing its silver streak

and thare are no trains like that in england cuz i live

thare as well except im near london

  • I was no good at maths, so can someone tell me the speed the train was averaging on the journey.

  • I'm surprised the train didn't derail on the curves!

  • 3:36 i think that part of the clip theres a movie

  • was this speeded up by bbc or you speeded it up

  • Well done!

Any level crossings on that line?

  • The only disaster is that I fell for it and wasted 5 minutes of my time.

  • Superb music... who is it? Contrary to a comment written below, it is definitely NOT "Jumping Someone else's Train" by The Cure. Who is it then? I'm wondering if it's Tangerine Dream...

  • Wow, awesome, haven't seen that ending clip (from the film Silver Streak) in a long time.

I really feel sorry for that F-unit. :)

  • hahahahahahah

  • if i were in a situation like that tho, i wouldve gone in back and cut the fuel and called ahead to have the line cleared untill we ran out

  • @heene Very funny ending.

  • Well done heene. Entertaining

  • @heene FUCK! i fell for it!

  • Kind of funny that Brighton in NY America is really just a small neighborhood but does have a subway line named after it.

  • I live near Brighton and the the station looks completely unlike that. If you want to do it realisticly, get a train crashing through a station, down an urban street and into the sea.

  • Isn't that a foreign train which crashes?

  • the end crash is from the movie Silver Streak. awesome movie.

  • still kinda intresting to watch

  • This is the video for the Cure's song "Jumping Someone Else's Train." Do you know that?

  • shit shit shit and err shit how can a train pull into brighton (where i live) and then suddenly become an american train and crash into an american station

  • Hahahaha, nice one.

Was that Silver Streak at the end?

Not seen that film in years.

  • Music is my fave here.

    What tune?

    By who?

    Where can I find?

    Help appreciated.

  • Loved the music.

What is it from and can I find it anywhere?

    BTW,interesting video.

  • that isnt even filmed in the uk.

it looks like it is filmed in the states

  • London RULES

  • Like the music. Someone knows the name of it?

  • Not bad. American train at the end, can see the funny side. Seen the film what the end clip is from.

  • lmao it was that stupid it was funny..

  • as usual I tried to read the station name plates............and failed, as usual! Good fun!

  • what movie is the train crash from???

  • is the crash real?

  • in went an one of those simulators n they had this vid so it makes u feel like your goin 2 london 2 brightnon fast

  • haha Brighton (where i live) is somehow in America now! nice one

  • @megalomaniac1992 Wasn't America, anyway. That was a Canadian Pacific loco - the movie Silver Streak was made in Canada.

    (I know; pointless comment.)

  • what's the name of the music track?

  • Not so difficult job!!!!lol

this is the video clip of THE CURE...

The song was "jumping someone else train"....

Only the end is different;i saw the film but i don"t remember the title...

  • Parts of this may have been used by The Cure in their music video, but it was made by The BBC.

  • That ending came from the movie 'Silver Streak'.

  • @chris13140 It's the ending of "Silver Bullet" w/ Gene Wilder

  • End bit Cassandra Crossing film with Richard Harris

  • Not quite, it was from Silver Streak with Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor.

  • @Brooksie130470 - End bit actually Silver Streak starring Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor.

  • @Brooksie130470 its not, cassandra crossing was a bridge

  • @Brooksie130470

Are you sure it's Cassandra Crossing? I think it is Silver Streak.

  • lol at the end with the car :P

  • wow, EPIC, lol =P

  • thye used this for AC/DC rock n roll train video!!! awesome!!!

  • No. This is from "Jumping Someone Else's Train" an old song by The Cure, one of their first singles in the early 80's.

  • the music makes this video ever so slightly creepy

  • Epic Fail

  • wow scary, but is a real or a film?

  • Remember seeing this on TV back in July 1983,didn't have the same ending though!

  • the was cool and weird all in 1 go and the music was pretty trippy good endimg though

  • It just goes to show: The FP7s were well built. :P

  • Ahahahaha! Good one! I would never have come up with such a good idea.Ahahahahahahahaha!

  • that was scary, werd and funny

  • Man. That Train Had A Fair Bit Of Momentum To Go That Far Through Concrete/Marble

  • @sonicdistortion12 - movie sets are not made of concrete or marble.

  • this is so funny

  • Imagine in the future when your train goes at that speed, would be scary and cool

  • i was hoping it went down west street and ended up on the brighon pier then caught fire now thats an ending love the music a new mix could be good keeping those analogue sounds

  • sad........but funny

  • Super ending, not what I was expecting. :-)

  • love this creepy music eighties style oo yeahh

  • shitt when did this happen?

  • They used to show this between programmes on TV when I was a kid, used to count the bridges! Always remember the dodgy synth music!

  • lol it smashed through the gift shop

  • LOL...Very well done...LOL...

  • lmao @ the end. That gave it 5 stars.

  • I think this was part of a Britsh Rail promotional video advertising the Brighton service. They did a similar one for the HST from Kings Cross - Peterborough called'HST1250'

  • damn thats fast

  • It seems like part of a 1980's movie -_-
