there where no innocent people killed in this video. i saw an interview with the guy who filmed it. when they went in they where looking for 2 known insurgents. after they went in and the cleared the room on the side the flash with sparks you see is a bullet hitting the AA soldiers rifle it scared the shit out of him and he ran out. the SF guy shot the guy who was shooting through the holes in the wall. the last guy was waving his ak at the family in the back room and the SF guy shot him.

The sparks you see fly when the Afghan Soldier is shot is due to the side of his AK-47 being hit by enemy fire, and there were innocent civilians inside that house so a frag in the room was out of the question. They knew that non-hostile people were in the home, so blowing it up with an air strike wasn't an option. At one point or another, Americans were going to have to enter the home and engage the combatant. It was better that this soldier do so before the insurgent had a chance to hide behind the women and children than wait and increase the risk to the innocents

They obviously lack the fantastic Aircraft-carrier force, and overseas deployment capabilities the US Navy possess, but they do have strong anti-ship ballistic capabilities. That makes them dangerous enough to be a force to be reckoned with.
@Barbaroossa Yeah, I don't deny that the Chinese are formidable. I just called them weak to refute that other guy. Any conflict with the Chinese is very unlikely and I think if the US were to fight them, it would mostly rely on the USAF in both defensive and offensive scenarios.
In the end however, I believe no matter how many casualties the USN takes, the PLAN would ultimately be defeated in a straight naval confrontation.

I would like to point out that this is most likely Iraq, not Afghanistan. The first guy through the door is shouting the command "oquf" which is a way of saying "stop" in Arabic. Afghanistan is a Dari and Pashto speaking country.
The bullet hit his weapon... anyone who thinks he's not a "real soldier" is tripping. Your weapon is damaged, extent unknown if he stayed there he could have gotten the others in the house with him hurt by being in the way blocking his rifle. I would also like to point out that according to another video of this the Afghan was killed outside, some respect for the people that soldiers go there to work with and train would be nice...

In the end however, I believe no matter how many casualties the USN takes, the PLAN would ultimately be defeated in a straight naval confrontation.
