Omg dude this car is amazing! why are you complaining and pointed out stupid things, ya the controls are down low but after a while you get used to it and not have to look down all the time.. plus it not like your going 100 miles per hour so you cant look down for an easy 3 sec.
guy u are idiot and look your stupid american cars they suck like u noob audi got keyless go mode to, and controls are not complicated u are just stupid to use it, go drive your stupid ugly american cars
Can't Stand Consumer Reports. Push button start & back up camera, like most cars these days are options so they are available.
Audi's MMI system is no more complicated than BMW's I Drive. It takes a bit of getting used to, but personally I like being able to change stations etc. while my arm is supported by the arm rest. As opposed to reaching over to the dash and so forth.
there are 2 reasons you would sit in the back as an adult, ether its cos you are young and you go on the trips with your friends so you don't care about comfort or you have failed at life and need to sit in the back in that case you don't deserve comfort so i say there's enough room in all cars
lotsblocks Right, "lots". What u say makes sense - to you. Which is, CR shouldn't go into such annoying details. Better for the consumer to buy the car & learn these things while driving. Like trying to figure out the ridiculous controls (around the floor shifter area) & taking their eyes off the road - potentially driving the car while staring/figuring out the shifter area controls & smashing up the car. Makes sense - to you.
Why is using a Key a bad thing?? I hate all the "Push-start", "Keyless go", tech its pointless and in some cars isn't easer to use than the conventional key, (eg. The VW passat, has a terrible start system ) and would gladly replace it for the "Dated" but FUNCTIONAL, key system. Really nice car, though :)
You know, most cars STILL use a key to start a car... Look into a nissan altima if you hate keys so much, a push button ignition is standard. And you said visibility was pretty good, so why are you complaining about a back up camera?
I'm audi fan.but sound ınsulatıon is important. One my friend said that"mercedes E sound insulatıon(ısolatıon) is better than audi A6."and I have disappoınted..is it true?.If it is true; please correct this condition..because audi A6 is my dream.I want to buy A6..thanks.
give this guys a break. I agree he is not very smooth like some other testers but at least every bit of his dislike on this car is all true. when buying a car, the final choice is made by you. and in order to make the right choice, don't you want as many criticisms as possible than entertaining commercials?
This dude is a whiny little bitch ... i have an a6 and there is absolutely no problems with looking down for half a second to push a fucking button ...
My god why are all consumerreports videos on german cars nagging about 'complicated' controls. My gosh...use your brains. It's bad enough that people actually own electrical can-openers. It clearly made this guy lazy and stupid enough to be flabbgergasted by the digital engineering-masterpiece of Audi. ;-P
wow consumer reports needs to get a new better guy to review cars. He talks WAY too much with his hands.... and he makes very retarded unjustified points. And i won't be taking any advise from a dude wearing a purple sweater....
I'm not going to argue whether the A6's price is justified BUT I will say that this consumer desire to have all the latest gagetry is getting out of hand. Does the cars have heated seats, a DVD player, ABS, a TV, a drinking fountain? What good is an airbag if the safety cage crushes or Lexus GX's stability control when it is about to roll over?
Is this the first time this guy has been in a luxury German car? I heard nothing but complaints in this review. It seems as if they made this video to bash on Audi A6. He didn't even get into technical details; he was speaking as if he just came out of a hole. Worst review ever!! Amazing car though.
@siberiantiger0 Since you haven't watch many of Consumer Reports videos you probably wouldn't know that he "bashes" on all cars the same. He isn't the only one who reviews the cars, many panelists drive and live with the car for awhile and point out annoyances that he tells in the video.
And what on earth makes the pull on type doorhandles "so much easier" than the lift flap variety? You grab either of them, you pull, the door opens. (But if you have to be anal, unless you're two feet tall, pulling a doorhandle UP is obviously more ergonomical than pulling it AWAY from the door.)
I say be happy that German cars sell so cheap in the US. ,-)
Overall and besides that, not a bad review. In all fairness, being so satisfied with my eighth A6 (formerly Audi 100), I may be biased.
@criscros7 What are you talking about? $53k is not cheap at all- it is at minimum on-par with the competition. Yes, you have significantly more taxes on vehicles, but here this is not relatively cheap.

You know you're reviewing a great car when you have to complain about the design of the doorhandles, the way the glove box opens and the fairly rudimentary cupholders (why you need them is beyond me anyway).
"You push the button for the fan, you turn the knob - so many steps"! Yeah, TWO. That may be one more than absolutely necessary, but the +/- knob also controls others functions, so you have to somehow tell it what to adjust. Would you prefer a load of knobs, one for each function?
Holy Shamoly. The braking distances increase somewhat in the wet. Does this moron think that Audi should have changed the laws of physics with the release of this car? Would somebody please pass a law preventing this bloke from ever reviewing another car PLEEEEEEEEEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This guy is enough to make the viewer's brain go numb. "The engine has a bit of a grumble sound to it". That is called rumble or growl and is a good thing. Then - "The 18" wheels contributed to an overly stiff ride." Again, it is a supercharged quattro luxury PERFORMANCE car. It is supposed to be at least a little sporty isn't it?? Finally - "There is a pretty good glass area. That helps you see out easier." WOW is that what the glass is for? That comment is what realy sent me into a coma!
It has a Key? What are you supposed to do w/ one of those? Are you joking? And you have to lift a handle, awe........ Gosh are we getting that soft, where that is a demerit?

@rudakidarkudaki1 Because no car is perfectly engineered and executed. Ergo, there will always be things to complain about.

Which one is better,audi a6 or a4...
MrAudi951204 4 months ago
@MrAudi951204 The Audi A6 is more expensive and is marketed as an executive sedan, so it should be better than an Audi A4.
The all new Audi A6 has just been released.
