Pretty cool, When you learn how, you will be able to do what that cloth does with your right hand and your left hand, it's a whole other aspect of playing, keeping notes clear and loud, while muting all the other strings and slop, It took me years to get it down especially when soloing and sweeping up /down the board. You won't need that cloth there anymore.

uhh i dont wanna be bashful but...

this was kinda generic, it had stock sweep triads, the solo sounded pentatonic-y. it was ok. i wasnt liking the string mute. the solo seemed one dimenisional as well, there was no vibrato. i think you have potential.

@sweeno565 try making a simple, yet effective and enjoyable, riff, then soloing over it while someone else (or a computer program) plays it. doesnt sound like much but the more you do it the better you get. i would recommend doing that at minimum once a day (which is why i suggested the computer program option)
