downfall is pretty easy on vet. heart of the reich was very tough and BTCS wasnt that hard if you can get past the hill. I just got my Platinum!!

I looked at all three parts of the video. The first was a little slow but I did exactly what you did in the 2nd and 3rd video, and I easily passed the level. All I need to do now is get the rest of the death cards and get blue ribbon then that platinum is mine.

It is veteran, he got the "Bearing the Burden" Achievement, which you only get for completing it on Veteran. you can also tell by how fast the screen goes red when he gets shot. There aren't nearly as many grenades thrown in this level as Heart of the Reich and others

Also to anyone stuck on this or Heart of the Reich, just take your time, advance slowly have a look around and pick enemies off. when it quiets down make a run for cover. Rinse and repeat believe me it is the best way to do it

It's 'Their Land Their Blood' that I hate. In the bit where there is the dude with the turret and you have to burn them out with the Molotovs. Make my way down to the trenches. First reason I hate it is. Reznov lets the Germans run right past him and shoot you. Not only that but if you manage to get through the trench and into the little bunker where the beds are. THERES NO CHECKPOINT! Then you have to continue through the rest of the trenches? It's fucking ridiculous.

Wow...I didn't know I could just snipe the MG guy (figured he was one of those unhittables you have to avoid until you get close). After taking him out the rest was pretty easy.

Also thanks to this, since the MG was out I booked it to the second hole in the wall (as this showed) instead of hanging around the first one hoping I didn't die running from cover to cover.

I'm incredibly happy that I finally finished it.

This is one of the easiest missions on Veteran. The only hard part is the beginning and I just ran through it. I hid behind the same cover he did and made it to where he went. It took me a while because of stupid grenades that would surround me but I did it after a few tries.

congrats if this vid is REALLY vet, but i doubt it. i've been at it (the last 10-15 minutes) and i get WAAAY more red than you do. in fact, i get almost completely red by two shots, while you run out in the freakin' open and have all the time in the world to do what you do.

WTF if it was on any other difficulty you would be able to just run through it, but as you can see for most of the time in this 3 parts he is behind cover, and after one shot by a enemy he is in the red!

This level is the hardest on veteran, it took me a couple of hours to do it. The first part is ridiculously hard (by the huge staircase)the second and last part aint that hard, it just takes skill, perserverance and patience.

This level is easy once you get past the first big room. After you clear out the auditorium/stage area before heading up to the roof, grab the PRT-4 sniper or whatever its called. It will make killing the 2 guys and the turret guy across the way. The rest is a breeze as shown in the video.

amen to you skynyrdrebellion. i wish treyarch would increase skill by making the AI clever, not just throw a relentless amount of grenades. my first time thru is on veteran and i never wana play the single player campaign again...testament to how annoying and tedious it is...nice 1 treyarch. @killerchippy83 I know right. In nearly every game from every studio, the designers generally make the AI cheat or do something cheap instead of making them strategically better. In this case, they just throw a billion grenades as well as point you out through anything. In other games, such as Rome Total War or Age of Mythology, they "cheat" the hard AI get their attack boosted in RTW and in AOM they gather reasources and such faster. It terrible habit by designers.

I dont reckon it does test if youre good...it seems to make you repeat over and over and eventually it just about lets you proceed in a situation that all the other times you would have been dead.

If it really was testing you, then you maybe wouldnt get to the end...but nearly everbody does after hours and hours of trying the same thing over and over...Is that skill?

I would say it takes a lot of skill to do it on veteran, sure you need luck, and a will to repetitively charge into your own death BUT I know a lot of gamers that lack that will and skill to complete the game on veteran.
