And there are many reasons as to why someone might choose to play wow instead...once again...such as character build! Aion has none , Wow has an immense and unique talent system. Unfortunately koreans always win in graphics and pvp, but they always lose in smart gameplay and character build. Oh and they always make grind games for some reason.
this year exits the new 3.0 patch that allows you to use mounts, take an house, write on maps, ther will be another area were both elyos and asmodians can stay without fighting and other stuff

@ffff865 cant be good and bad copies is completly the same game with upgraded fight system and improved graphics from pastel painted wow graphics to DX10 cryengine graphics (and thats like comparing black and white television with colored television :D).
@plkJack Aion is nothing like wow...it is COMPLETELY different. I'm not sayin this is a bad or good thing, but they are NOT alike. The only thing common is that they are both mmos. Aion is better at some parts WoW is at some other. Truth is they are both great games. The thing is however what aion has in pvp and graphics it loses in character build, where wow unfortunately is the king (and this is a fact). I'd rather play Aion for some reason though :)

I can only say a few thing since I have played WOW since 2006,and have played AION for a short time, about 6 months, but I have friends that still play Aion. Sure the grafic is better in Aion, and in wow it's a little cartoonish, but that dosn´t determine the how the gameplay is, storyline or anything, it just tells us how the games has evolved, when it was made and stuff like that. WoW has an already awesome community since its been up and running for so long.
Sure it's likely that if Aion plays everything right, they can have the same. But still WoW have evolved quite well I think, graphic and all. Sure many says that it's not as good as it was in vanilla, but that's probably because it can't stay the same forever. they have to evolve to. Both Aion and WoW are great games,thay have good storylines and good lores, but I must say that WoW is a bit better there. But that's because WoW has originated much from WC3,
so they already had a good storyline and lore built up for them. That's also a point that they have evolved quite much, to make it fit the gameplay as much as possible. And the point with lvling and actionbars... sure if you only play to 40 or 50 in wow its goes a hell lot faster in WoW, but the reason is that for that is that most people don't want to be stuck in the low lvls xD blizzard listen to what the majority of players wants, and then it sucks to be the minority, but well hell,
that´s democracy for you! xD so if you want the spend more time in the levels and really fight your way up, Aion wins, but if you want to fight your way up to the top but not spen to much time with it, play wow. WoW is fun even if its short in the beginning´, but that not so bad actually, and how long it takes depends on if you do pvp, dungeons or just quest and also of course levelling gear ;D And neither of the actionbars are bad in any way I think, yo just have to learn to use them,
u also gotta rem the higher the graphic rate means more stress on ur RAM and ur FPS wow was made in mind for PC freindly meaning u dont need high end pc to run it and still have amazing game exp. now i have alienware and i play both games and Aion does have better graphics but also hits MY ram alot harder then wow does

Fun fact: Did u know WoW almost got sued for "taking stuff that wasn't theirs". I saw in game informer magazine that the most popular mmorpg copied stuff from nintendo. If u go to the En gorro crater u see a kid in a green hood(link from the legend of zelda). A guy in a red suit with a mustache(obviously mario)And a huge gorilla throwing barrels(SNES version of donkey kong) At least AION doesnt copy stuff from other companys.

aion has gotted to 2,7 now and it wasnt even 2,0 there .. its 2x as good grafic now x1000 times better in pve and pvp .. alot new instances .. grafic aion ofc wins cause it new and going for higher grafs updates all the time ,,, while wow doesnt move much .. pvp .. if you like combat movement/ brained (and fast) pvp its aion .... wow is more tactic and you wont have to be that fast in wow .. soo.. if you got slow net and pc go for wow :)! played both for about 1 year ..
@AvatarKovai777 meh aion was basically a pvpers heaven if u didn't like pvpin it was a horrible game nothing else to do i dont play aion anymore since they did the stupid xfers all the servers got unbalanced and pvp became one sided. no fun always winning with no fight. if i was on a balanced server id still be playing best mmo pvp ive ever done.

You cant really compare Aion and Wow. Wow is mainly PVE game and pvp is just side thing. Aion is PVP game. I think aion is better if u like to pvp. And i just hate it that blizzard is making so much money every month and they still cant update their game engine to better on like. Thats why i like aion.

aion has 2 races - WoW 11, aion 4 classes with 2 spec ( which u cant change ) - WoW 10 classes with 3 specs ( changeable and even dual spec ), aion 15gb - wow 30gb, aion 15-20 spells per class - wow around 30.. i could go so on and on...aion has better graphic cause of the reasons above... ( and few more addings: WoW has much more content, instances/raids, BGs/Arenas/Rbg, LORE) cant think of anything else..but WoW beats Aion
and have you seen Aion with details on max, using the new 2.5 graphics? I don't want to bash WoW, that is a great game and has its merits, but Aion has WoW beat graphic-wise. Personally I like Aion for the pvp, the smoother, more life-like animations, and beautiful areas, Alukina's Palace and Ingisson to name a few. Granted the grind is long and hard, it is rewarding. WoW no doubt is a great game too, it's all a matter of personal opinion. No game is better than the other :)

WoW has been out much longer than Aion so it's no wonder there are many things WoW beats Aion at, but give Aion time. I think WoW's graphics are a bit more stylized and cartoony (which has proven to be great in the video game industry), while Aion strives to be more realistic. I wanted to run around in a beautiful world and have vast character customization choices, so I went with Aion

Its time to tell the truth. I've been playing WoW for 3 years. And I've also been playing Aion for 6 months. While playing those two games I though to my self... "Why cant those 2 awesome games cant join up and be one?" But the truth is that Aion is a copy of WoW......

They are both good but in Aion you can customize characters in so many different ways. you can even make a celeb look alike lol you can make your character tall or short, skinny or fat.WoW doesn't have that options. =/

Don't know why all of these comparisons are stressing graphics as such a big deal. Few MMO players care for intense visualizations. Sure Aion may look better in most areas, and the rendered graphics are smoother, but sandbox gameplay makes the biggest difference between these types of games. Questing, grinding, PvPing, all roles that make up the experience of sandbox gameplay. IMO, these games should be compared. WoW is an open world, sandbox-type MMO, as is Aion, why should'nt they be compared?
i used to play wow i play it when tbc appear but they screwed the game with this wotlk and cata expansions,they are so crappy and i stop it when cataclysm appeared.Now i play aion,it have way better graphics and wow gets too old(2004).And im waiting for gw2 cuz wow is dying now.Fact that from 12m subscribers they got 9m now.

Playing WoW was fun to me for a time, but with every Patch they completely reliefed to the classic system:Gold-Inflation, "Old" new instances(ZA/ZG)and raids....well one raid for half a year. Its all about the boring dailies now. Especially with cata it became clear. Aion may be quiet the same BUT do you see the graphical differences? With the time, Games change and so the players do. In my opinion (the) wow(graphic) is just causing ey-cancer now. Aion just started where WoW is about to end up!
oh AAAAND also, u dont have to waste money on stupid expansions!! Aions all updates, you buy the game, you get the lastest version with all the content without having to buy expansions
and u can customize ur character like mad!! you can make normal ppl, or some crazy looking toons!!! however i do believe that WoW does have some things over aion such as crafting, exploration, and class diversity (shapeshifting druids are soo cool). aions graphics are better, aions music is better, the fighting in aions better, the story in aion is better, (is there even one in WoW, I have played it and i couldnt see one) The lore is better, its actually suposed to be an entire planet then a few islands in an ocean, however because its a newer game theres less content, i prefer aions interface much much more, i dont understand why ppl switch it to look like wow's. Aion is much more pvp oriented which i find more exciting

Both Aion and WoW has their up/down sides, but personally I like Aion better. I've played WoW since 2005 and Aion since 2009!

aion has gotted to 2,7 now and it wasnt even 2,0 there .. its 2x as good grafic now x1000 times better in pve and pvp .. alot new instances .. grafic aion ofc wins cause it new and going for higher grafs updates all the time ,,, while wow doesnt move much .. pvp .. if you like combat movement/ brained (and fast) pvp its aion .... wow is more tactic and you wont have to be that fast in wow .. soo.. if you got slow net and pc go for wow :)! played both for about 1 year ..

@AvatarKovai777 meh aion was basically a pvpers heaven if u didn't like pvpin it was a horrible game nothing else to do i dont play aion anymore since they did the stupid xfers all the servers got unbalanced and pvp became one sided. no fun always winning with no fight. if i was on a balanced server id still be playing best mmo pvp ive ever done.

Je sait pas si vous comprenait le français , mais en faite , la moitier d'AION se trouve en haut et a plus de place que wow qui lui se trouve en bas, de plus la qualités de l'image et en HD pour Aion la ou il est nul pour WOW , TOUT INDIQUE QUE CETTE VIDÉO INFLUENCE LE CHOIX VERS AION ET PAS WOW AU LIEU DE RESTER NEUTRE.

You cant really compare Aion and Wow. Wow is mainly PVE game and pvp is just side thing. Aion is PVP game. I think aion is better if u like to pvp. And i just hate it that blizzard is making so much money every month and they still cant update their game engine to better on like. Thats why i like aion.

aion has 2 races - WoW 11, aion 4 classes with 2 spec ( which u cant change ) - WoW 10 classes with 3 specs ( changeable and even dual spec ), aion 15gb - wow 30gb, aion 15-20 spells per class - wow around 30.. i could go so on and on...aion has better graphic cause of the reasons above... ( and few more addings: WoW has much more content, instances/raids, BGs/Arenas/Rbg, LORE) cant think of anything else..but WoW beats Aion

and have you seen Aion with details on max, using the new 2.5 graphics? I don't want to bash WoW, that is a great game and has its merits, but Aion has WoW beat graphic-wise. Personally I like Aion for the pvp, the smoother, more life-like animations, and beautiful areas, Alukina's Palace and Ingisson to name a few. Granted the grind is long and hard, it is rewarding. WoW no doubt is a great game too, it's all a matter of personal opinion. No game is better than the other :)

WoW has been out much longer than Aion so it's no wonder there are many things WoW beats Aion at, but give Aion time. I think WoW's graphics are a bit more stylized and cartoony (which has proven to be great in the video game industry), while Aion strives to be more realistic. I wanted to run around in a beautiful world and have vast character customization choices, so I went with Aion

They are both good but in Aion you can customize characters in so many different ways. you can even make a celeb look alike lol you can make your character tall or short, skinny or fat.WoW doesn't have that options. =/

Don't know why all of these comparisons are stressing graphics as such a big deal. Few MMO players care for intense visualizations. Sure Aion may look better in most areas, and the rendered graphics are smoother, but sandbox gameplay makes the biggest difference between these types of games. Questing, grinding, PvPing, all roles that make up the experience of sandbox gameplay. IMO, these games should be compared. WoW is an open world, sandbox-type MMO, as is Aion, why should'nt they be compared?

Playing WoW was fun to me for a time, but with every Patch they completely reliefed to the classic system:Gold-Inflation, "Old" new instances(ZA/ZG)and raids....well one raid for half a year. Its all about the boring dailies now. Especially with cata it became clear. Aion may be quiet the same BUT do you see the graphical differences? With the time, Games change and so the players do. In my opinion (the) wow(graphic) is just causing ey-cancer now. Aion just started where WoW is about to end up!

and u can customize ur character like mad!! you can make normal ppl, or some crazy looking toons!!! however i do believe that WoW does have some things over aion such as crafting, exploration, and class diversity (shapeshifting druids are soo cool). I am a little biased as iv played aion alot more.. buut i think im sticken with aion

aions graphics are better, aions music is better, the fighting in aions better, the story in aion is better, (is there even one in WoW, I have played it and i couldnt see one) The lore is better, its actually suposed to be an entire planet then a few islands in an ocean, however because its a newer game theres less content, i prefer aions interface much much more, i dont understand why ppl switch it to look like wow's. Aion is much more pvp oriented which i find more exciting

i think aion and wow are so different! wow has battlegrounds, wich i love the most! and the dungeonfinder. in aion, you have to create your own instancegroup. i love aion too, but i think wow is my thing.
