@eclgall Padre Marcelo is still alive? I spent one day a great afternoon with him while he showed me the abbay and the great organ that I had the pleasure to play Franck on it...
@eclgall I think it would be extraordinarily difficult to keep a pipe organ in tune in a tropical climate, unless the chamber is continuously air-conditioned, which would be very expensive.
I had enjoyed Cesar Frank's music...
I see. Like I said, that's the closest thing i'll ever see to an organ. Other than that I really don't know much else about it other than some great music came from the organ.
ahhh well, if you want to see an organ, just ask one of the local churches staff, and they can show you, people are very relaxed about organs in America, they're willing to show you, play it to you, demonstrate everything etc. I'm an organist myself, and all I did was phone the vicar.
Is it just me, or do Tomburini organs always seem to be out of tune?
64ftContraBombarde 1 year ago
It matters not how many or how loud the pipes are in the organ, the loudest one is always the one that's out of tune!

Some of the principals in the great sound like they need to be tuned!? Especially in the upper octave. Could be some wind leakage either??

The organ at that time was out of order. Now it is tuned.

You could be more polite. I'm not the organist. I was there and made the video during a visit.

Ouch! Needs tuning! Other than that, a wonderful instrument!
ccoraxfan 3 years ago
It was a quick visit to the church and the instrument really needed tuning, I know. But the intention is only to show the instrument.
eclgall 3 years ago
Probably the closest i'll ever see to an organ. How would you know if they don't tune it? They probably want to play it that way.
gigantor068 3 years ago
A big Organ needs to be tuned every 3 weeks, if its a small church Organ, once every year or so.
