I agree with you two, I Love Aya she is my favorite character, but Souichiro is being the ass here and splitting up the two sisters. I personally think that Aya and masataka should get together. That anime unfortunately lost its pacing big time. The giant section of solid flashback in the middle completely yanks the spotlight away from the main character and his transformation from loud mouthed bully to hero.

The manga does the same thing though, losing you in giant sections of backstory..

Though coming back to the main conflict with three episodes to go and a final battle that isn't really the final battle.. that you can blame on the anime storyboarders.
