  • I own a writing service business, and represent writers. I critigue and judge books, theses and dissertations for a living. I comprehend syntax, and its use!I Our sources, having doctorates, master's degrees, read a lot of junk; we consisdered Code and Angels and Demons poorly written. Brown is not a careful writer; yet writing like his is published. And you are wrong. People care about good writing. Too many in the public and in higher education cannot discern good, espository writing.

  • The Problem with Dan Brown: He's a Bad Writer! -- Cryptic dialogue and poor syntax are the hallmarks of his tomes, filled with poor transitions betwen paragraphs.

Professional Friends agree: "A best seller does not require good writing, despite the research and the bits of "history"...

Afetr all, publishing houses and law offices are filled with men and women whose writng skills are poor. But that's all you can hire these days, despite the resume and the expensive college backgrounds!!!

  • I don't think he's a bad writer. But I think your point is irrelevant. How could you say there is a 'problem' with Dan Brown after all his success? Even if there is a problem, no one cares about it if everyone's buying his books!
