  • Sounds like Bob Seger should be singing this song

  • People are really critical of Peter's first solo album, but I always liked it. Sure the others rocked harder, but Peter always had lots of soul, and I appreciated that about him. Unlike the other guys in KISS he always sounded comfortable and natural with whatever he was singing.

  • this is AWESOME..!!!

  • Peter has a great voice....I love his contributions to the Kiss albums, Dirty Livin' came out great on Dynasty...can't see how this one could have fit though. His first two albums sounded very 'light', but vocally, he was always strong. The Let me Rock You album was his best in my opinion, with solid tunes and great vocal performances by Peter.

  • This song highlights how Peter was sooooo (TOO) influenced by weak, OOOOOOLLLDDD music and didn't feel the need to progress into harder or darker music. and yes, I would call that PROGRESS! Strange thing is...there is something about Peter Criss that I have always liked! Something intangible.

  • the intro sounds like Rod Stewart and i knew who the singer was before the singing started. wow

  • Peter was stupid to think he could have a sucessful music career without KISS! Listen to this stinking piece of garbage....PURE SHIT! I love Beth and even Hard Luck Woman...but come on...THIS is rediculous folks!!!! I love him as person and as a drummer but definately not as a regular song writer!!!

  • @MrMedusaLvamp I have to agree, I actually liked Dynasty but this song is just noise pollution.

  • @MrMedusaLvamp Well, lets also point out that Paul wrote hard luck woman, and actually Peter just had the Beth idea, Bob Ezrin took it and reorganized it to what it ended up being so in reality Bob Ezrin created the Beth that we all know then Peter just sang to it.

  • @MrMedusaLvamp really good opinion i am not that big a fan of his songs or singing but paul stanley wrote hard luck woman. and i prefer when paul or gene sings, maybe even ace

  • GREAT !! another unreleased song..thx 2 everyone who uploads thats videos.. MUCHAS GRACIAS!!

  • this song is from the movie KISS MEETS THE PHANTOM OF THE PARK

  • @KISSFAN81 ou sure about that. I've seen it several times and never heard it.

  • DEUCE1231 IS RIGHT, PETER RECORDED OUT OF CONTROL AT THE SAME TIME KISS RECORDED DYNASTY... THIS SONG IS ON OUT OF CONTROL, AND PETER IS THE ONLY KISS MEMBER ON THIS DEMO...

  • I love the raw Vocals of Peter Criss!!My Favorite Kiss-Track with Peter-Vocal is "Black Diamond" from the Gigantic Debut! But don't underate Classics like "Hooligan","Baby Driver","Hard Luck Woman" or "Dirty Livin"!KISS FOREVER!

  • the style does not fit dynasty. it's still a cool song and was back in the day when they could either write or they were smart enough to pull in a quality producer. i love this song. thanx for posting this rare gem.

  • Don't listen to the obnoxious people. They give the rest of us a bad reputation. Thanks for posting this. P.S. Your English is far better than my Polish!

  • This song is a classic example of why KISS tanked with this album. The spark was lost. This is Kiss in the shit can.

  • I may have to agree with Gene and PAul on these Peter demo's. They may have been great songs, but not Kiss songs at all.

  • thats on peters 1. solo lp

  • I got the album but the osng isn't on it?

  • @liamzuid This is a demo, and you can find it on the several silver CD bootlegs, f.ex. "The Lost Solo Treasures"

  • @liamzuid that's because it's a demo...this track is not included in dynasty album...it's a rare one... :)

  • @liamzuid

that's why it has been a DEMO

  • Comment removed

  • I guess so. It's a shame!

  • A good Peter song, but not a Kiss song at all.

  • this sounds like country music lolol

  • The best Peter Criss songs were the ones Ace wrote.

  • Wow you guys are making some great comments here....well thought out and very accurate in your assessments!!!Good to read them!

  • Peter is a bad ass singer...can' see how this song would have fit on Dynasty though...

  • i love ppl bitching about peter criss about his vocals or songs...

but still - what happened when peter left kiss?

oh right they totally sold out and took off the makeup..their glory days ended...LOL

and ohh, BETH which peter WROTE is their #1 hit... so i dont understand why everyone is bitching about him??

    money talks, bullshit walks

  • @megamannen20

Actually, "I Was Made For Loving You" was a bigger hit, and Stan Penridge wrote most of Beth, as well as most of Peter's solo album. Not to mention Peter was kicked out from KISS, not leaving on his own like he tries to say.

  • @MacGyver666 Ha ha ha.. you are correct!

  • That is only because he said if he didn't get a song on there he was walkin. He still walked. Peter is totally Italian all the way down to his "My dick is bigger than yours" I am KISS and without me you are nothing. KISS is KISS no one is better than the other they are just different. No one part on the care is better than another it takes all of it to go down the road. Ace was the steering and Peter was the gas. When they get drunk the car gets totaled

  • As much as I love Peter, his songs were way out there as far as KISS. Having only owned Destroyer as a nine year old in 1981, it was a shock to hear his solo album that I spent my hard earned $1.99 in the bargain bin.

While it may not be the worlds worst album, even as a nine year old I knew that it was way off (even the Elder sounded more normal that year at Christmas).

Peter`s songs can be cool, but they really aren`t KISS...

  • is that Status Quo?

  • Alot of Peter's songs always end up sounding like Greatful Dead songs.....I dont think KISS needed to have bluegrass music or country fried rock sounds on their records. Dont get me wrong I love songs like Get Away and Mainline and Beth of course but I can also see both sides of the coin too! I still do enjoy them all.

  • He sings so good catman

  • peter blows

  • Peter whines about Gene & Paul NOT using his songs in KISS. Paul says to use the BEST songs, not simply have an EQUAL number of songs, thus eliminating 'sub-par' material. Paul may have SOME point but you can also see Peter's frustration.

In hindsight KISS was a HARD ROCK band & Peter was a TOTALLY different kind of musician. A mis-match from the start?! Eric Carr fit the HEAVY sound better & let's face it, KISS fans want HEAVY rock, not endless sappy ballads. I don't think Peter gets it yet!

  • peter R&B wowowowowow, great catman

  • Sounds like something off Peter's solo album. It wouldn't have fitted well on Dynasty.

  • This is a song from his solo album "Out of control"

  • kiss the girl goodbye is a great great song

  • Peter Criss did not play at all on the Dynasty album. That is a fact. This is probably him playing drums. But there is no way this would ever go on a KISS album. One of the only GOOD things that KISS did from this time period was to reject this song.

  • booooogie:)

  • 22 seconds was enough for me- complete shit.

  • Okay he is a pretty good singer but not as good as the other three.

  • it sounds like something from his solo album, Its not bad, but I think I can see, or rather hear why it didn't work for the dynasty album,

  • This is good but Dirty Livin is better. Peter was never the best songwriter or singer.

  • are you kidding me?.. Peter is a great singer, he has a lot of soul!!!... listen to "Kiss the Girl Goodbye" off his solo album and tell me thats not a great song!...

  • Comment removed

  • ok. it's not a great song. Peter Criss has never had a great song. Good, ok... Beth.

  • its OK Beth & hard Luck woman are just

Better songs. & for his solo stuff

Blue moon over Brooklyn, is a great song

  • @zacandtaylorrule Peter Criss has that scream, voice and can sing like no1 else. Dirty Livin' is a VERY good song also. I hav a video i've shared on facebook, but the concert is mostly with Peter singing "Tossin' and Turnin'." So......if u wanna see it sometime, add me as a friend on facebook. lol

  • It was rightfully rejected. Most of Peter Criss's music blows major ass. I can't even imagine how the hell they started out with him in a first place, he has such a different musical style and backround. He's big band style crap doesn't belong in a rock group. He should of played in some other band. If you wanna hear rock musick from another member from Kiss other than Gene, Ace or Paul than search for Erick Carr Rockology. The foxman kicks Peter's ass anyday. Too bad he's gone.

  • He actually used this song for his first none makeup solo album... Out Of Control

  • This sounds so country! I like it...KISS should make an album out of their old time rejected songs and left-out demos...even those are good (at least to die-hard fans like me)

  • For those of you needing a KISS history lesson, Peter recorded Out Of Control nearly simultaneously as Dynasty. This song, though, was NOT demoed by KISS and was never recorded by KISS. It was actually REJECTED by KISS for Dynasty. The only member of KISS on this demo is Peter Criss.

  • @deuce1231 u r so right -Unmasked was bad enough without 1 of these turds from Out of Contol on it.

  • Kiss Rules, love it

  • a mid-quality stones chug-romp that should have replaced one of the more crap moments on the cat man's solo album, for my money

  • I like it, they should of put this on the recor dinstead of dirty livin

  • Really? Wow, I LOVED Dirty Livin', wore that vinyl out.

  • Post something you have done . . . . people love to cut things down they cannot do themselves.

It is tough as nails to make a living in a band, I hung my guitar up for 17 yrs. it is a brutal dog eat dog scene, guess you wouldn't know that though, it's easier just to put someone down for trying.

    Lame.

  • Sounds more like a demo for his solo album.

  • yeah peters solo LP out of control did feature several rejected songs from Dynasty, I like the LP Dynasty.

i can see at the time it being labled as a "sellout" record

  • the blame should be put on vincent poncia.aside from sure know something and loving you,he should have did a better job on ace peter and gene's song's..not focus on the disco craze..

  • This isnt disco for gods sake! Only 2 songs from Dynasty, which sounds disco are I Was Made For Loving You and Sure Know Something!

  • ...and I guess, Ace wrote 'strange ways'... I forgot

  • Peter's demos were always really well done. He had some great players on his stuff. This song is great, and later appeared on 1980's 'Out Of Control' album by Peter.

  • yea this sucks... It's Peter crap! His styles and influences really suck farts out of dead rabbits. He should have just SHUT THE FUCK UP the whole time and been the most loved drummer ever. And richest!

  • Agreed!

  • Hey bro, I appreciate your efforts to learn English. If I had to speak one sentence of Polish or die, I'd be one dead sonofabitch. With that said, I think this song is terrible.

  • I think this is a very good song. Not in Kiss' style. I still think Pete's voice is so raw and sounds so good, my favorite singer in the band.

  • Yeah, this song sucks major donkey balls!

  • this isent a kiss song. its from peters solo cd

  • I must say, some of you fuckers here have to go back to school and learn how to speak English.

    You're embarrassing yourselves!

  • Man, not everyone is American or English. I am from Poland, and here for the very long time we didnt have English in our schools. I understand, that I am not very good in English, but I dont understand why you are so unfair - not everyone learn English since birth. I am learning English since 6 years, but I know persons, who didnt know any English word, because they didnt have English at school. Remember, that standart of language many persons mustnt depend of their unwillingness to learning.

  • Well you write better English than most of the Americans on here!!! Nice post by the way...kinda reminds me of The Stones

  • Chill out man !

If you dont like Peter, its your opinion. But this video is a tribute to him. If you come to critic him, go away.

Ps. why do you think I am loser ? Because Iam in Poland, far away from you ? But remember, some day youll meet a person, that also didnt like your style, and than you'll see ...

  • @KISSbestfan At least you can speak english. That's more than i can say for the fence jumping mexicans coming into this country by the thousands. Congratulations.

  • @KISSbestfan Just want to say, as an American, I agree with you totally and believe my countrymen should be more understanding. I must also say, it is a testament to the music of KISS that we all can meet on here to share the experience that is the music of KISS, for it knows no borders,.

  • @KISSbestfan Just want to say, as an English-speaking American, I agree with you totally and believe primarily English-speaking people should be more understanding. I must also say, it is a testament to the music of KISS that we all can meet on here to share the experience that is the music of KISS, for it knows no borders,.

  • you would be a yank right? i see why its called "English"

  • @darthinfurnus

3/4 of You Tube commenters are the illiterate, incoherent, uneducated, societal outcasts.

Some of these nitwits are on the wrong end of the IQ bell-curve.

  • with all the dicks and cocks flying around in your comment i say you are jealous....

  • Is this song in Kissology??

  • hell yeah!! KISSbestfan.. i agre.. fuck everyone who wants to talk out there ass.. Peters style was and is very good.. he had a very r and b stlyle to his music which is very good..

  • I love Peter Criss!

  • Sounds like something the Rolling Stones would have done. I dont think it suits Kiss style even if it would have been on Dynasty

  • Peter's roots where with R&B and Jazz, just look at his Kiss solo album, totally different from the rest of the solo albums,i still like his style, his raw voice suits the music.

  • Gene and Paul are nowhere on this track. Its Peter on drums alongside Stan Pendridge. This song was later used as the basis for Peter's Budwesier radio commercial in 1982...

  • This song sounds like the opening theme to "MaMa's Family"! Peter Crisscoula really had an old 70's garage band sound when it came to alot of his songs. I'm so glad KISS didn't let this or many other songs go to vinyl!!! Could you imagine? What an embarassment that would have been!! Thankyou God!!

  • I dont know, why are you writing all of this. If you like Peter, more than Eric Carr or Singer, its your way. Even personas could have another opinion than you. By the recording "Beth", KISS take the award for best ballad in 1976. The real KISS fans like KISS not for only one song. Peter dissmissed the band in 1979, because of his drugs problems, and dismissed with his wife.I know also that Peter is original KISS drummer, but every member of KISS, are worth for respect. Now fuck you.

  • Hello to you to, nice to see you've got a 1% functional brain, grow up

  • hell all respect to peter, but all his songs kinda sound the same.he has a really cool rod stewart voice though.he was very lucky to have been in kiss.

  • Peter like ballads, and music from his young times. Thats why his solo album sounds like 1950s. Peter was in KISS because of his talent and voice.

  • Sounds more like jazz or something. I understand why it didn't make it :P

  • wow,no wonder it didn't made the Dynasty album, really doesn't fit it with the rest of the song, but it would have been a great song for his 1978 solo album...

  • It's on his "Out Of Control" 1980 album, that was released just a year later!

  • love this tune! thanks,,,cheer, jimi

  • I guess this was rather a Peter Criss demo, just didn't fit Dynasty at all.
