Clearly you are new to guitar ;) Guitar players often have long nails on their right hand because nails are important if you want to have any good sound if you do finger-picking :)

Justin...this is an awesome lesson! This song has been driving me crazy for a long time, being self taught I had the chords and could pick it decent enough but I couldn't figure out the strumming and picking thing. Keep posting these lessons, they are the best I've seen yet
