@SixPathPein I wonder if they would allow an author to create a legacy of kain book. it leads itself to a story, the difference of characters, the ease of which events can be described. honestly, book of the year storyline, assuming someone with creative flair, rather than someone who wanted easy money, took the mantle.

@LegolasManowarMJ They could keep a lot of the storyline intact - just retconn some of the aspects so they fit into the SR/Defiance storylines (i.e. even minor things like the pillar emblems, Alistair Duncan as Mortanius etc.)

Try coming up with a storyline like this yourself.. There must be parts of the storyline that could eventually not be explained.. This story is a masterpiece and should be in a museum or get it's own museum..

@goldenmaza A story that cannot be explained logically by its means ends up being chaotic. Dont get me wrong i think this game is amazing and i agree that it should be given more notice. but problems such as this stick out like a sore thumb. which is why i believe if another game is made, this problem needs a solution. Kain keeping the Reaver after sparing Raziel in SR2 being another: How could a younger Kain claim the reaver in avenus when his elderself claims it? yet another paradox.

@PhoenixHelix Time travel is all part of history as well, according to LOK. It is part of Kain's destiny to have travelled back in time. Once Kain killed William, the whole timeline was re-written around the death of William that should not have occurred. Of course that only happened through a soul reaver paradox by Moebius. I hope this helps.

@LoneDragoon90 Im aware of the storyline, ive been a fan for years. but History also abhors a paradox and wont ever allow it to happen. in this case however its impossible to prevent. Kain B wouldnt ever travel in time to kill William if Kain A kills him because there would be no reason to: the Nemesis doesnt exist. so how exactly could Wiliam die? Soul Reaver or not, this paradox is impossible.

@PhoenixHelix I did some sifting around, and found this on a plot guide - bearing in mind it is conjecture of Kain in the altered timeline:

Possibly after Kain found the Time Streaming Device, he also learnt that

Moebius had created the vampire crusade and decided to kill Moebius to

retroactively destroy the crusade. However, Moebius got William to protect

him and Kain killed William.

@LoneDragoon90 That in of itself would've created yet another Paradox; Moebius was beheaded by a younger Kain just after Vorador was. had he been killed earlier it would've caused chaos: the only way there couldnt be said paradox is if William wasnt the Nemesis at all and perhaps had been Moebius from the beginning, the slight alteration being instead of targeting all Nosgoth, he targeted all Vampires and William was used as a diversion either way.

@PhoenixHelix I never said that Kain killed Moebius in the past - just that this idea would have had "Kain B" go back to prevent him from initiating the purge - we can imply from this (if the timeline continues as per BO), Moebius escaped while Kain fought William.

It might be conjecture, but it would fit fine I think.

@LoneDragoon90 That could be done although Moebius dying early would trigger another problem: Moebius was killed after Voradors execution when he points out Kain as the last vampire. The Time pillar would have chosen another guardian and finding that guardian may very well have been impossible after Kain B refuses the sacrifice.

@PhoenixHelix Then its for the best that Moebius scarpers back to the BO time, and then executes Vorador in the normal manner. Its funny, with Kain B killing William, that ironically creates a predestination loop - which could well have been Moebius' intent all along. This way, Kain killing William as a side point (rather than his intent as Kain A) is a lot more devious - I could hear Moebius cackling away as he escapes to execute Vorador. A shame that this is only guesswork.
