LOL i did the same darn thing only in thick lily pads. Twitched worm ten times and frog would hop closer. Worked at it for bout 5 minutes and finally frog hit it. Put up a helluva fight too, felt like a three pounder bass. It really is amazing what humans will result to when boredom sets in lol.

lol, my best catch (non-fish) was a seagull on Lake Michigan while a plastic worm was railing behind our boat. we were about 1/2 mile off shore going about 10 mph. it was hilarious!! it unhooked itself before i could real in and no injuries caused

I have a lot of fun using a plastic frog as bait. Frogs only slightly bigger will try to eat my frog. Always head first. Which is lucky, because it makes for easy catch and release.

This is a legit way to catch frogs, but a creme's worm with the hooks exposed does a better job.
