There are still (many) problems to be solved- things like unequal infrastructure investments and improper budgeting in Arab schools- stuff that every minority in every country suffers from, and they result from inefficient, socially insensitive bureaucracy, not racism.

I on the other hand love my Jewishness, my Jewish wife, sons ,and my beautiful Jewish Israeli grandchildren. @ludvan64 The song is about someone coming home, and not being sure if he will be welcomed back. The first verse is, "I'm coming home, I've done my time." Thinking of the lyrics, knowing Gilad isn't on his way home makes the song incredibly sad.

@ReviewCam The tune is of Tie a yellow ribbon etc. I don't wish to hurt any ones feelings, but to me the song you quoted, and it's original is sentimental hogwash. The truth is Shalit is too valuable a card for Hamas to give up for any price, and it suits Israel for Shalit to stay where he is, as it's reason for some contact with Hamas. The myth that Israeli governments care about the fate of their soldiers, is just that a myth. They cry crocodile tears. It's politics, & that's a dirty business

@ludvan64 I agree entirely. The poor kid is indeed too valuable to Hamas now, and I have always harbored a dark fear that the gov't isn't as aggressive as they could be to secure his freedom. As for the song, sentimental or not, its familiarity in the west does pull at the heart strings.
Was that's Aviv Geffen's intent? Could be. Not to mention a PR boost and money

I dont agree with those who have commented negatively to this video.
The points are clear and should be examined.
1. The media are definitely having a picnic over this march etc
.2.Singers who take part "voluntarily" have everything to gain. (except Gilad)
3. Such a to-do definitely increases the price of Gilads release.
4. The demo and march obviously are a cry to the Israeli government-who are not holding Gilad!!!
I think the "Shevet" have once again scored well in this satire.

@smike53 Yes, and onther point. If you watch the videos from Hamas mocking Gilad they emphasis just how young he is and child-like he looks. What next? They'll be kidnapping Israeli children (G-d forbid!). Gilad needs to be in the pubic eye but not so much that Hamas refuses to release him because he's too valuable to them.
