I originally thought the song "Jack-A-Lynn" was a song of longing for his wife Shona, who's middle name is Jacklyn. I then read several other comments from Tull scribes who said he wrote this song about one of his favorite cats..........
Jethro Tull, The Minstrel Looks Back 1969-1977 2DVD features concert footage from Tampa 1976, London Hippodrome 1977, Beat Club 1970 plus rare footage from Thick as a Brick/Passion Play tours more info available at Tommygunvideo please see our youtube channel for link/clips/more details
I guess I should have been more specific...This great tune had to wait for the 20th anniversary set to be introduced..It wasn't released on Aqualunge,Thick as a Brick,Songs from the Wood, too old for Rock and roll,Crest of a Knave,RockIsland...It wasn't released to the mainstream...It had to wait as junk
Jack-A-Lynn...If you saw it..Good for you...It is the best pure Tull song..I wish.It gives you an idea how good the music was...This tune didn't make it on an album
@frkaz911 Technically...They thew odds and ends that didn't make the cut..I know Jack-A-Lynn from that Box Set...It didn't make Tulls final cut...How is that?..get it the second time?
I will not only write about this video, I am going to write about one of the best babdas that gave rock music, I am 55 years old and listening since I was a teenager with iluciones and eager to be me mismo.Soy of Argentina
