I'm 16 and I get about $20 a week for lunch. But instead of buying school lunch I wait till I get home and eat there. I've been doing this for years and have spent some of it on stuff but I still have around $1500 saved
@bugg162 -dude I am in awe of your discipline and good sense at 16, keeping conducting yourself like that and you will be better off than 99% of the folks in this country. What you make is important but what you do with the money after you get it is even more IMPORTANT!!!
I think the greatest generation are the best money savers
An elderly couple moved from down my street, and I found out they had paid off their house 30 years ago and had almost 700K in cash, and they were proud of that!
I started off last christmas angry at the universe for being broke, and now I've got a nice 100+ ounces of silver and an ounce of gold. Hard work definitely pays off even you don't make much...
there are ironies in everyones' life, my Cousin downgrades people who wear Polo, yet he has a Rolex, given to him by his Dad but still, and you want to help Society if you can, making this stuff helps
Professor Glendon Dude: You should definitely be teaching a course on Personal Finance for the Junior Hustler because you are definitely teaching concepts that most Average Americans have not been taught in highschool or college. You are the man dude!!! Keep up the good work!!
I have watched all your videos on YouTube and this is definitely your best so far bbut the reflection on the metal behind you was driving me nuts keep up the goo work waiting for the next one oh by the way I got your book storage auctions a-z 2011 I'm almost done with it thanks for the challenge/ reality check restarted my savings today
i really want to commend you on an outstanding presentation, you are right on the mark, Folks are stupid, someone I know just bought a 2002 dodge for 11000 dollars ,took a loan for it, at 25 percent interest, he had only 300 dollars to his name and his old clunker, He is a part time worker and makes a few bucks, but never has any money, ever, people are dumb, his car note is over 400 dollars, plus more for car insurance. Can you beleive how dumb folks are, they just want it now and easy.
I love your videos. Your information is universal and timeless. I have no interest in storage auctions but your advice still helps a ton. Timeless because a lot of what you say. My Dad tried to drill into me when I was a kid. Just wish I would have understood how important it was then.
Glendon, this has got to be my favorite video you have done ~ and I've seen close to all of them. Sure, I like hearing the crazy stories but I think your "self help" or "financial freedom" (Dave Ramsey-esque) videos are VERY good.

oh yeah i already saved around €8000,- for the rest of my study. i didn't needed a playstation, xbox, new mobile phone or a lot of personal time. now i hear you i think oh that's why my classmates saying it's expensive i got debt by the bank.
i just have enough money to come around as somebody going to the university and i do not earn more than a maybe €150 per month and in the vacation €1100 a month. i just think about what do i earn, can i afford it, do i need it. are the last to questions yes than i buy it. or there is another question, can i make something on it? is it yes than i buy it.
