It's happens in different parts of the game, there's a section on starmen d o t n e t about it. And a "special code" will work too, and make it act like a copied cartridge.

This should have been the way the actual EB cart dealt with piracy: put you in a battle you can't win and flash the piracy message in the background. Then erase all your saves.

Well, that message is actually from the game itself, but it doesn't come up in battle in the circumstances that it'd appear in the original game. The original game only displays that message and freezes.

Where is that background located at and which program (besides PK Hack) did you use to change the backgrounds? When I changed the backgrounds around with EB Battle Animation Editor, all PSI except for Healing and Lifeup caused the entire screen to turn black. D:

the first background is ness's house, and the battle background is the screen you get when you try to play a fake earthbound cartridge. its there in even regular earthbound games, just not being used.

In case you did not know this enemie is not really in Mother 2. N-Dude was made for a little flash game made by brownie brown, before Mother 3 was made for the GBA. But yeah he looks like the Pig Mask Colenel.
