  • Al-Jazeera's is shit , like CNN, and FOX.

Argentina is in poberty, and Cristina Kirchner is a corrupt president, she is draining all the resources of the country selling them to international corporations and their local friends...and a lot of corrupt acts, like drugs etc.

controlling the poor people, she remains in power, with critical AIDs from the state in exchange of votes...

All the stadistics are B.S, her government controlls the numbers and manipulate them in order to get popularity.

  • You should indicate the truly date of this facts. You show your videos about Argentina as if all that would happening right now, but most of this is from almost 10 years ago, when our economy just collapsed. We're not a perfect country (no one is) but we're much better than at that time. At 2002 we had an unemployment of 25%, now it's less than 8%. Our poverty was over 56% of the total population, now it's around 20/25% and we keep improving.

  • the uk always trying to show something wrong about argentina, in every country of the world there are poor people, USA is the first potence in the world and they have poors but that doesnt means that they are poor, argentina has the biggest PIB per capita from all latinamerica, and has the same porcent of poors than europe countries, the UN said that, and since 2001 the unemployee down since almost 50% to 15%

  • @Zerc92 The news channel is NOT from the UK. The Argentinian government are indeed hiding figures and trying to threaten British familes to hide their corruption. I knew a girl from Argentina and she was angry at her government for their corruption.

  • Argentina is a rich country. The big problem of this rich country, is the wealth is in little people. And most of the people is not rich. This country has still a large upper middle class in relationship to the population, like no other country in latin america (may be uruguay as exception) It's unacceptable the poverty in this rich country.

  • @christiantr1986 i think argentina is just like other latin countries...all the wealth in 1 small group of people while the rest lives poor

  • WTF!jajaja ARGENTINA THE PARIS OF LATIN AMERICA AGGG!!! n.n

  • No country whether it is Argentina, the USA or Africa should be poor or lose its prosperity. Americans of all classes are going through this like the whole world, but the weight of poverty & class disparity is felt strongly in less developed Latin America.

I worry about Uruguay once the "Switzerland" of Latin America from a socialistic model state in the 20th century, and earthquake-struck Chile in a time they boost of as the continent's "economic miracle" since the 1980s, is struggling. +

  • About Argentines being "snobs" due to largely European immigrant origins, it is true but dubious. Genetists actually find 30% of the population have some Amerindian genes, mostly in the country's interior despite the "conquest of the desert" by the army in the 1880s nearly eradicated indigenous peoples, and 15% have African ancestry from pre-1800s slavery in the Rio de La Plata region. Self-delusion by propaganda, but dig deeper in their genealogical record & they find where they came from.+

  • @demikede1 Ok that research was done with the same amount of people north/center/south, and 50 % of Argentina lives in the center, which is the one with the highest immigration (the north has the highest percentage of native american blood) so it wasn´t accurate, and also was done with 10 thousand people, hence less accurate, and according to your theory white americans have african ancestry cause they had many black slaves.

  • Argentina is not exactly like its neighbors, nor it is like Mexico or Venezuela, each Latin/South American country is different in politics, economy and culture. I sense Brazil is having some serious problems, but the country was granted the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympic games in Rio de Janero. I live in the USA (Sou. Cal about 100 kms from the border) and we constantly hear and aware of about drug cartel violence spiraling out of control and moved northward into this side, right by town. +

  • I don't want to sound politically charged, but the Argentine economy was managed not in the best way. In the 1980's and 90s plus the crisis of 2001-02 was when mass protests, government official resignations and food riots rocked the country.

In the year 2010 when the world continues to feel the recession for over 2 years, the Argentinan people are preparing for a repeat of 2001, 1995 & 1989, and their financial bubble may have burst. Argentina is self-jokingly the "richest poor country". +

  • the problem in Argentina is CORRUPTION

  • HEYYY fatboyblitz ...YOU HAVE GOOD LOOK NOT BODDY KILL YOU.. NOT FOR KNOW.. BUT YOUR LIFE IS A SHIT AND ALWAY WILL BE A SHIT...BECUASE U DON´T KNOW HOW BE HAPPY IN THE LIFE.. U NEED MONEY FOR BE HAPPY..SHIT

  • There is NO excuse for anyone in Argentina to have poverty. The mismanagement and incompetence, and continued "tradition" of Gangsters in the Government is looting this great nation dry.

    Pardonnez-moi.

    Antoine

  • How rude.

  • Unfortunately one must listen to this Leftist, Socialist, Communist Pig Lucia Newman-

I would like to see that Vermin without a Peso, and She wait in Line for Food-

    Go back to your Shtetl

  • Argentina is not poor, it is not wealthy either. As another said it is upper middle class, and the economic colapse is not helping it. BTW i am cuban/argentinian in the USA and have gone to argentina many times.

  • @askme4answers555555 LOL, NO Argentina is NOT upper middle class. I lived in Argentina for 3 years 1991-1994. It is not like Europe, it is not first world, it is not close to first world status either. The middle class is shrinking and has been shrinking since the 70s! Crime, poverty, drug use, decline in educational standards, and the like have all increased a lot since the early 90s when Menem and the other sons of a bitches in Congress sold profitable state-run businesses for almost free!

  • @boihitbycar The problem is that argentines consider themselves as "europeans" and don't admit there are brown people, poverty and all characteristics you find in every Third World Country there. They are snobbish (for what???) and proud due to their genetic inheritance, typical of nazis. But it seems like their inheritance doesn't help much, otherwise they'd be as wealthy as Italy and Germany, not as "Third World" as Venezuela, Mexico, Iran, Brazil...

  • @henrikk21 lol you talk like all europeans are first world, have you been to Ukrain? Russia? Bielorussia? Lithuania? Romania? we just say we´re white from italian, german heritage or whatever it is, it has nothing to do with being a snob, that depends on the person, and Italy first world? have you been to southern Italy?.

  • @boihitbycar upper middle income doesnt mean first world, thats high income, get your facts straight.

  • @askme4answers555555

okok, a country have 15.000000 of persons pouverty is a rich country?!!!!!

  • @askme4answers555555 Argentina is a second world nation, not a first or third world. The government is very corrupt. Thats why they try to colonise the Falklands to distract attention away from the corruption.

  • Hey fatboyblitz leave Canada please. Thank you

  • WWII didn't get us out of the Depression either. Only the return of a peaceful interconnecting world and the roll back of government intervention brought economic revival. Don't conflate the full employment of WWII with recovery--millions upon millions were drafted and/or joined the military.

  • Some of you need to grow up. To my fellow Americans, I suggest you get off your high horse and realize the inflation experienced in Argentina is a certainty in the United States within the next five years, and likely sooner.

I suggest you buy silver coins and bullion while you can. You may need it to purchase food. To the rest of you folks out there who think Americans are like the retarded characters you see on TV, rest assured there are plenty of us left who are fit and ready to kick ass.

  • Mr. Fatboyblitz...Having arrived late at the party, I feel like a voyeur, a fly on the wall, an un-welcome guest. But man, indulge me for a second will ya? The sheer hatred, vitriole and unbridled ugliness of your posts don't deserve a public forum. Man, get a life...get a grip...and get a vocabulary. Surely you can voice an opinion or debate an issue and do it with a modicum of civility and pedigree of thought. I suggest you spend a summer cuddling a dictionary and sleeping with a thesauraus.

: TWO WORDS: RAT´S BRIAN , you never gone to shcool man! jajaja y si sos un latino sos peor!

  • Fatboyblitz ..

    your the problem ..

  • lol , why are u insulting me? obviously you have something personal with Argentina.. i STUDY economics, so i know what im talking about, anyway, im also an italian citizen, and im staying in Argentina so i doubt that im that poor, you are just too pathetic for me to keep answering go get a shrink to fix the obvious self esteem complex you have

  • FAT BOY BLITZ: if you don't like to fuck your fat MC-girlfriend, if you have some miserable and devaluated dollars, you can go to manhattan where you can get fucked by a lot of rich gays. hahahahha. Oh sory, i forgotted that you don't have money enough to buy even a chevy, you have to buy a shity japanese car, ahhaha. Go home fucking asshole...

  • yes, but here there is a lot of argentinian people giving their opinion, and THEY KNOW ENGLISH, you don't know how to talk spanish because your education system is a "no free-shit". And well, you know, thats why you are a stupid ignorant from a very mother fucking country that is going to fall. So go to your wood house made of bull shit, go to your miserable work in mcdonalds or fuck your fat girlfriend because in your country all the people is fat and ugly and stupid like homer simpson.

  • it isnt one of the poorest countries in the world, its an upper middle income poverty is about 15 %, why don´t you get your facts straight before talking shit about my country?

  • the only way to get out of this mess is in argentina is if that whore, bitch we call president and her motherfucking husband stop stealing..

so should the rest both gobernment and people

if we do that in about 2 years we'll go from being poor to being very good

  • I'm from argentina, and yes, argentina is a poor country. But the situation it isn't so diferent as the one that european countrys are passing trough. Argentina was always a poor country, since 1880. In argentina we usually say the this country was one of the richest one, but is false. The confusion is because during the 60's we had a huge population increase of the middle class, but the reality is that at the same moment the poor people multiplied per three.

  • Thanks to Peron+FMI illegitimal loans during dictatorships of the 70's. And a nice flow of poor Bolivians and Paraguayans to work here.

    This country sucks.

  • and yet argentina still tries to make claims to the falklands - even tho they cant afford an army! fucking joke of a country!

  • America will soon suffer this. Our remedy to this is 2nd Amendment.

  • Wait, are Argentinean farmers still protesting now?

  • are all the poor people in argentina is of indigenous descent?? is it like brazil where all the white people have the money and all???

  • People of different "coulors" are struggling to survive. But yeah, most white people have the money.

  • I wouldn't say that. There's a lot of wealthy and middle-class mixed-race people.

  • most races are different in ways. but as most would see white having it better off. This is because they are looked after better and know more where as poverty country people are less technological

  • It's not like that, but yes, many poors are descendants of immigrants from the northern region of the country and from bolivia and paraguay.

  • Amor y paz.

  • Argentinian president is hot.

  • Are gov'ts that ignorant that they don't understand inflation? Or, are they that corrupt? It's now happening in the U.S. Inflation is going up fast and the gov't lies about the inflation. shadowstatsdotcom at least tells us the truth.

  • Mexico is home to the largest number of U.S. citizens abroad (estimated at one million as of 1999), which represents 1% of the Mexican population and 25% of all U.S. citizens abroad. Other significant communities are those of Central and S. America, most notably from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Cuba, Venezuela, Guatemala, and Belize. the Argentine community is considered to be the second largest foreign community in the country (estimated somewhere between 300,000 and 1,500.000)

  • you are so right!!!.. its true alot of mexicans come to usa but dats becasue we are the closes to usa and plus we have over 105 million people in mexico if mexico was someother place and say argentina was next to usa den alot of argentines would be in the usa you feel me?? im mexican and i was born in usa and proud of mexico to be the riches latin american country bespite poverty. every country has poverty! and richness also.

  • sorry dude, but you re totally out of line, first off, mexico isnt the richest country in LA, its Chile, and then, are u happy about argentinian poverty?? doesnt mexico have like 40 million poor people? check out home for a while before commenting on other places

  • first of all i am not happy about this. why would i be happy i just said that because i like argentine people its just that they always say there the richest and looking at this it doesnt seem. and plus mexico is the richest country in latin america. chile was but because it has fewer people making there gpd higher but thats not true. and there is not 40million poor theres less its going down way down research u before u sat things alright. and yes mexico is the 8th richest county in the world

  • mexico´s economy is strong thats true, but the equal distribution is not, u guys arent even a developed country, no latin american country is, and if i talk is because ive been to the US to see how full of mexicans it is, would it be so full if mexico was so rich?

  • mexico is one of the most developed nation in latin america and soon would be. where are u from? and yea u only been to parts of usa you cant judge by just where u are, over here where i live its no mexicans its all majority central americans and there are also alot of south americans here. mexico has over 100 million people in it. obviously like all latin america theres unequal distribution and theres alot of ppl in mexico. if argentina or colombia were close like mexico more would be here

  • most developed nation in latin america and soon would be what..? a major power? u dont know that yet, right now mexico is third world, all latin american countries are far from a developed country check the gdp per capita, im sorry if u dont read at all, but u live in unexistent bubble

  • well if u havent read mexico is one of the worlds leading economy in importing and exporting. and yes it is a little shacky but it even has more millionairs and billionars than switzerland and other european countries. ur so rude im thru with u just because u live in europe doesnt mean ur all that even i live a comfortalble lifestyle and i dont brag making other people feel inferior because of where they live. i live in usa my family is rich we are millionairs.

  • am i bragging here? i just said dont laugh of poverty, which is exactly what u did when mexico also has poverty, and im done with you as well.. u didnt even know u live in a third world country, not worth it

  • well i didnt even laugh i jsut left a comment about what someone else said. and plus im american. mexican american dumbass i know where i live and where my family is from and proud although im a really light skinned mexican

  • Mexico has a huge population we live everywhere esp the US but becuase we are neighbors Mexicans have always lived in the US and always will this is just as much our country as any anglos. As for Arg. traveled by plane 20 hours and still there is a quite a few of U. That's a big trip. we just have to walk or take the bus. The problem with Argentinos is that you can't admit that a counrty full of "Indios" is doing better then you. That's what makes your people so ugly, always puttin others down!

  • im just saying facts as they are, your country sucks, it´s a puppet from the USA, it is as third world as Argentina, so id better get down from that reality you re trying to believe that you are actually first world, who would wanna be a mexican with the image you guys have in the world, poverty, drugs, illegal immigration, criminals, americans dont let mexicans adopt kids in the USA, would that make anyone proud?id suggest a reality check

  • hijo de puta VOS TAMBIEN OTRA MIERDA QUE ETQUETA A LOS ARGENTINOS COMO MIERDA

OJALA QUE TENGAS UN HAMBRE INCONTROLABLE

  • fuck you

  • @Nowl8 Dude, seriously most of the poverty in Mexico is found in the rural areas far away from the cities in the lower states of Oaxaca, Guerrero and Chiapas where a large size of population is of indigenous descendants. This people are just like those Native Americans living in the United States. They don't want help and they don't to have nothing with the federal government.14.4% of the population is considered to be impoverished by asset based measurements. Mexico is changing, come and see.

  • @atlantasbest i know what im talking about.. Mexico is still a developing country the way Argentina is, and if it is changing so much how come there are millions of illegal mexicans working in the states for 2 bucks?? how about you base your statements on facts?.

  • @Nowl8 Of course is still a developing nation just like Argentina. We are right now competing with China for companies and private investment. Everyone wants to got to the United States, I lived here for 20 years and yes I am an Naturalized U.S. Citizen and I know a lot of illegals from all over the world including many Argentinians with over stayed visas and no drivers licenses. Those who live up broad are people who left the country after the 94 economic debacle here in Mexico. Facts are shit.

  • @Nowl8 I have a degree in Economics dude, so please.. 2 bucks? lol, your missed informed, no one works for 2 bucks an hour, the minimum salary in the United States is from $7.00 to $8.00 depending where you live. Don't give me that bull shit that only Mexicans go to the United States illegally because it's been know that even Argentinians and Brazilians cross the Mexican/US border illegally. I know your proud of your country but Latin America is a piece of shit, corrupted and poor, face it...

  • @atlantasbest uhhh it´s figure of speech, and i also study economics so i know what im talking about, and the majority of illegals in the states are mexicans wheter you like it or not, and that´s cause they share a border with the states, common sense, argentinians and brazilians usually blend in, and believe me, i´m not proud of my government, and only a loser would be proud of his nationality, i aim to be proud of what i achieve as a person.

  • @Nowl8 Of course there are Mexicans in the United States then any other Latin Americans, Mexico is just on the southern side of the United States, uuummm... lol... I don't see the reason why people insult each other, I'm not saying that you are but many of your country men do and many of my country men do too. I can't stand all this stupid Ideology of who's better because at the end no one is, there's unemployment, hunger, poverty, sickness and corruption any every where, even in the USA, sad....

  • @zugelmm 75 millones de pobres??? jajajajajajajajajaja XD!!!!!! stop pulling number out of your ass!! jajajajaja!!!!

  • @atlantasbest Yes, your are right, there are not 75 millions of poor people in Mexico, the real value is 80 millions, look at this link of a Mexican newspaper.

    look for it in google.

  • @zugelmm Those are just numbers based on surveys and not real statistics. Everyone knows that people tend to exaggerate when doing surveys Even if it was true than why is Mexico is getting a lot of Latin American immigrants? It makes no sense for some one to leave their country and go to a even poorer country. I have traveled to many countries even yours truly and I saw no difference between yours and mine, there's still a lot to be done and insulting and trash talking is not one of them, OKAY?

  • @atlantasbest Mexico is not the only country with high migration, it is a world around fact, even in my country you find a lot of Mexicans, Americans, Europeans, Peruvians, Chinese people, etc, Not for that I feel that it is a developed country. Mexicans believe that they are first world, when actually, they aren't. A don't feel that Mexico is better country than mine, neither the other way around, I have been yet in Mexico, let me tell you that it is not my favorite country to visit.

  • @zugelmm It's very easy, then don't come! I don't care if you feel like it's not a developed country, I don't think your country is any where close to development either, Mexico is a changing country and leader of Latin America just like Brazil whether you like or not! 20,000 plus Colombians living in Mexico City, why? If Mexico was such a dump than why are they staying here? My point exactly! Stop such a bigot! Mexicans in Colombia not to many, Colombians in Mexico, too many to count!!!

  • @atlantasbest Mexican proud is completely annoying, Argentinians are not like that, it is funny when Mexicans complain about this issue, not others are like you, Any other country has that bad leaded proud, It is not a war to know what is the best country, I think that you are a rude person, you just should respect the opinion of others, and it is my opinion It doesn't matter my citizenship.

Intolerance = underdevelopment, That is why Mexico is not yet a developed

  • @zugelmm You must be smoking pot! Argentinians are very arrogant people and you know this, stop kissing their ass! Proud people change their nations! It's people like you who needs to get real and trash talking and putting other peoples countries down is very disrespectful. I been to your country and I found people who are very humble and hospitable but is people like you who give your country a bad name, I don't respect your opinion because you don't respect mine. get a life you scoundrel!

  • @atlantasbest I'm rude? how about you? I seriously don't give a shit whatever you say! If I'm proud than you are too, you seem like the kind who likes to talk shit, I've got plenty to talk about but I wont get down to your level, besides Colombians talking shit I found it as funny as a Salvadorian talking shit to me, I find it to be the same shit. O yeah, if we're talking underdevelopment, your country has to work a lot on it's development as a people, I been there and to me it's a joke, lol...

  • @atlantasbest I am humble and hospitable, if you read all our dialog, I only have exposed ideas with arguments, I didn't write any rude word, as you did in almost all your messages, I am not angry because I respect u and your opinions, You started insulting me, and I only answered in a very polite way, it is not my fault that we don't agree in our mind, I have not been as rude as you.

  • @atlantasbest I've never said that mi country belongs to the first world, I only said, than Mexico is not part of it. I've never compared Mexico and Colombia, neither Argentina, I only said a true, with the support of a Mexican News paper, I have a lot of Mexican and Argentinean friends and Argentineans are nice people, and more honest than the Mexicans one.

  • @zugelmm you´re quite right buddy, no one in Latin America says any latin american country is first world, except for Mexico, dunno where they got that idea from though considering half their country is in the US, guess the amazing standard of living they talk about isn´t there after all.

  • @Nowl8 In North America Mexico is not prosperous they are a 3rd world nation and Canada has a higher standard of living that U.S does we have the 3rd highest standard of living in the world and we are the 5th wealthiest nation in the world with the 2nd highest oil reserves in the world after the middle east and we are heading straight for trouble over inflation right now this year it is hitting the price of housing food gas and this is bad bad news for us so I don't know about the rest of world

  • @zugelmm I think Mexico is not developed yet because the Americans milked them like the rest of the world think about it we are all forced to live by their standards their currencey their ideals everything is amercanized economy and banking system they cheat us all and their own people too....

  • @lucy9359 The blame should be placed upon the Mexican citizens that flee their own country causing a "brain drain". It's pure greed on their parts. Rather then help their own country, they flee to the US or other richer countries in an attempt to get rich. They don't care about their own country as much as they care about themselves. But they do complain and seek to blame someone other than themselves. They like to blame America because its a typical left wing position.

  • @1stPlaceDirector well you would know better than I would they don't come here some of them were sneaking in here but they got deported the laws don't favour illegals in this nation. They tried to say you were persucting them so they could claim refugee status but it fell on deaf ears here...believe it or not our government only allows well educated imigrants in here with money...then they can't work so they come here and go to our schools to be reeducated...crazy nonsense!

  • @lucy9359 After reading your last post, it appears that you are misinformed in regard to 2 things. First of all, it appears that you don't realize how people are getting into this country and finding a way to avoid deportation. I live in Los Angeles and I see first hand what happens. I don't know where you get your information, but you can't read it in a book. It would be helpful if I knew your background. There also is an immigration lottery that helps some get in, others use sham marriages, etc

  • @1stPlaceDirector I watched this on a news talk show in Canada...I suggest you reread what I said I think your taking it up the wrong way! I didn't say I believed that you all persecuted them I said they claimed you did...I don't know what an imigration lottery is but it sounds like it should be against the law and I am a legal proffesional trained in the law in Canada I have formerly taught Law Clerk Program in this nation at a post secondary level so I don't listen to news sources such as fox

  • @lucy9359 You can read about the green card lottery here at usagcls.com. You don't have to be wealthy at all.

  • @1stPlaceDirector you do have to be wealthy to imigrate to Canada they let in people with phd's doctors lawyers proffesors etc...every friend I have that is an imigrant to this nation is very well educated and when I asked why they told me because you have to have some money to come here you can't have any debt or they won't let you in. so they come here and can't get jobs and drive taxi while they go to college off grant money here...I personally want to see no more muslim come in here!

  • @lucy9359 Yes, the problem comes when people enter the country and want to change it to be like their country. When hard-liner Muslims enter the country, they want to bring Sharia law with them and change our country to go backward. France has criticized the US for years, but finally they realize the folly of their ways in regard to allowing too many Muslims in. Now they are recognizing their mistake and are trying to reverse it by banning the Muslim headscarfs, etc. Frankly, its too late.

  • @1stPlaceDirector I think we are going to have to deal with it as a multifaceted course of action now...I hope that it is not to late we are going to have very serious problems with these people if we don't deal with them...

  • @1stPlaceDirector I looked up that lottery that is the most obsurd thing I ever heard in my life...a cerial killer can win a green card to your country...Obama is a joke man, puppet monster to the banksters!

  • @zugelm So seriously, I don't give a damn what you think. Besides, this blog is talking about Argentina's inflation not about the Mexican economy, I see you can't keep Mexico out of your mouth, even in a blog that has nothing to do with Mexico here you are talking shit and then you're not even Argentinian to make worst, you're a Colombian talking mad shit about something that doesn't concern you. Keep my country out of you're mouth and if don't like it well don't come around no more, understand?

  • ha ha ha you don't know any Argentinian that wants to live in Mexico because they are already there, too many by the way. and you have the nerve to talk about poverty? just take a trip around your country. and as for the USA not only Mexicans go there, your people come across our country to reach the USA as well as people from the the rest of S. America.

  • are u by any chance trying to act like your neighbour the US? u dont know how we see Mexico here in Europe, just a bunch of poor little american wannabees, its people like u laughing of poverty that should dissapear from the world

  • you said look at Mexico!!!! how many Mexicans live in Argentina? and how many Argentinians moved to Mexico? we must have a lot of poverty in Mexico but you are all coming by the thousands to our country. with all our poverty I prefer to live in Mexico that Argentina, and obviously a lot of Argentinos think the same way.

  • holy shit i dont understand, Argentina was number 4 most powerful country in the world...how?? i dont get it...can any argentinian tell me why...i love Argentina as a southamerican...one of the most beautiful countries in SouthAmerica...

  • hello, I want to this country with the sleeve of theft and kickbacks that there are high ranking in Canada USA Europe live under this one was above the economy in argentina 40 50 60 until 1976 after a fall that made dicatadura People put away a war with Chile and England, so we are screwed

    good fucking

  • international institutions has to do something about this!!nobody vote for them in the last election they make "fraud" and even worse is the fact that they are incredible agressive, violent and pretends to start a social war between rich people and poor people or even worse a civil war between whites and indigenous.

  • Cristina kirchner is facking lier corrupted arrogant whore!!!!inflation is 25% and inmigration from another countrys are out of control!nestor k.thinks hes peron and talks all the fucking time about the 70 instead of talk about the present!!they are so fucking corrupted!this country is ruled by mafia and dictators.

  • sad

there is no need for people to go hungry

    hunger is a powerful feeling

    i speak from experience

  • malditos indios imigrantes, solo andan jodiendo.

  • 10% poverty is not abnormal, so why are they portraying Argentina as abnormal

  • The actual indexes are unknown, unemployement is def above20% so you can imagine poverty will be higher. The INDEC(national institute of statistics and census) is controlled by the government, they fired all the top level people and put their allies on charge, so that they can "fix" the numbers... if they make the country seem to be growing, more money will come from abroad (as investments). Plus people would not criticize the fact that more and more people are falling under the line of poverty.

  • please rafa buy aguerro too.go for aimar again! why not? so these people are inspired when the redmen bring glory back to the nation. just like maradona saved them bfore, mascherano will save them again

  • i understand your comment!futbol should be banned of argentina!!Some stupid people here believes that win a world cup would be "the salvation"people talk all the time about soccer but NOBODY cares the last presidencial election when the medios ask to people if they care the election the 90% were like "wherever"

  • mascherano and emiliano insua will sort it out. when they win world cups champions leagues and trebles all in the same year, people will begin to believe again! javier mascheranooooo

All Latin American Countries need to unite, just as Europe united.

  • hell yeah man.. and like north america did.. thats why they tell you what to do and not the ohter way round....

    get ur shit together

  • life is real.

  • Argentinian inflation is only running at 21% because they haven't learned to cover it up properly, like the US government does. Argentina, too, can have 2% inflation, as soon as it learns how to fiddle the figures properly. Dumb third-world nations!

  • its funny how the catholic church is the funding in the soup kitchen in Argentina AND America.... am i drawing any solid conclusions??? nope, just pondering.....

  • I'm sad to see this situation on a world wide scale.

  • Yeah, gianie, and I'm sad because I love my country and being 42 years old, I have never seen a decent government in my life. Poverty like the one in the video is not new here, it's been going on for decades, the thing is, now it is getting definitely out of control.

But I guess we are all to blame as a society, our government is just a reflection of what we are, unfortunately. Politicians don't come from another planet.

  • gjanie: It's only going to get worse, too, because the USD is on its way out. As it collapses, you will see a lot more of this sort of thing, and a LOT worse. Countries need to go away from trading in USD for their commodities.

  • the problem is with excessive taxation, not greedy farmers or capitalism.

  • neotoy, you are right, people should be taught to use birth control more in Argentina but... that would spoil things for Americans and Europeans who come to our country to buy babies, don't you think?

  • why don't the farmers pay the taxes... greedy bastards.

  • They DO pay taxes. It's best not to talk when you don't know what you're talking about.

  • i'm talking about the increase in the export tax on grain which would go into social programmes for the poor. The farmers are unwilling to agree to this increase even though the price of grain has soared due to strong international demand.

  • This a shame that is on a world wide level. The wonders of capitalism

  • divinejudge1: Blame the Fed, not capitalism. The US Federal Reserve Bank is flooding the world with USD, in an attempt to stop the US economy from correcting from the last time the Fed flooded the world with USD. This devalues the USD, and because the USD is the world's reserve currency, EVERYTHING traded in USD becomes more expensive. EVERYBODY around the world is paying the Inflation Tax levied by the international bankers that effectively own the Fed. End the Fed, or trade in other currencies

  • I blaim the WTO, IMF, World Bank, US FED, but capitalism is the fault of rising food prices if you view the roles of Bayer, Monsanto, BASF, Dupont, Con Agra. Shit most of the food we eat around the world is owned by Con Agra or Nestle.

Monsanto holds patents on crops, and sues people for growing soy. Sells genetically modified seed at 4X a natural seeds in 3rd world peasant farming areas. ALL FOR PROFITS IN THE GUISE OF SOLVING WORLD HUNGER.

  • I'd like to add that farmers in Argentina are on strike for a week. They are against the taxation that is put on them for exporting by the very same government credited for the "economic revival". The problems for rising food prices and hunger is a crossover of many events and economic phenomnea. BUT TO KEEP IT SIMPLE IT IS ALL CAPITALISM AT ITS FINEST.

  • divinejudge1: That's not capitalism, that's corporatism - the merger between Big Business and Big Government. Because they are one, to give power to one is to give power to the other, so the typical "left" reaction of "more regulation!" is the exact opposite of the way to go. There are plenty of things to do to end corporatism:

    * End corporate bailouts (eg Bear Sterns)

    * End corporate welfare (eg big farm groups)

    * End the business/government revolving door

    * End political partisanship

    * etc.

  • Well at least Argentinia has a hot leader don't think anyone could disagree with that LOL

  • Naturally: World economy is failing, and when people from rich countries feel a `pinch` people from poor countries feel `powerful grab`

  • GOT THAT RIGHT...
