  • So computer viruses are airborne?

  • its because dumb people use PC's

  • @mexbeaner28 Lol assumptions are great and all, but for us to really give a shit about them you need to show peer reviewed evidence.

  • 92% of the market is held by Windows to Mac's 5% so naturally quite the majority of viruses are designed for Windows.

If you get a virus on a PC then you aren't at the technical level of downloading free anti-virus software and so probably should buy a Mac; a computer with training wheels.

I might also add that those creating viruses stand to gain alot more from attacking multi billion dollar corporations (PC users) than unemployed hipsters in starbucks typing away on their mac books

  • see one day a virus is going to catch macs unaware and that will be the end of them

  • please someone explain me what's the problem to accept people prefering mac.. i had with windows a fuckin lot more crashes and linux was more work on the system then using the computer for something usefull as user.

  • The "Virus-Proof" mask ruined it.

  • mac just wants attention and some viruses of his own. :D

  • Yay, more douchey mac doucheness.

  • Lol so true!

  • Macs aren't popular enough to get any viruses, no one wants to waste their time with less than 5% of the computing population.

  • yeah thats why they found the first botnet.... ;)

  • What about the Botnet? MAC YOU SUCK!

  • Oh God! They could thank you that our destiny isnt somewhere in china or asia living nearby each other cuz I would rape them off the skin! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! Grrrh.

  • have you heard about the first Mac-Botnets?

  • Wait, the first page of comments for this isn't negative towards Windows, I guess with Steve Job's illness, his Reality Distortion Field has weakened as well.

  • It's because no one cared enough about Macs to hack them.

  • yawn. This wasn't that funny 10 years ago, it sure isn't funny now.

  • IBOT SAYS HI MACFAGS

  • Don't be Mac or PC. Be human. Use Linux ;)

  • In other reality, where the most popular OS used on computers is Mac OS, makes similar ad Microsoft. :D

Yeah, Windows is still attacked. Why? Cause it's most popular OS for ordinary people (e.g. accountants or students). Make a Mac such popular and it will be attacked too. But Apple then can make some iAntivir, iAntispyware, iAntirootkit, iWhat-Else-You-Want ;-)

  • its stupld, shut up apple ^^

  • the reason that there is no virus for mac is that only big Steve uses it .)

  • Windows is a big virus & malwer ever! Mac OS X OWNED!

  • Gee, a new pc virus? Well duh, if you're going to make a virus, why would you make it for an operating system that has less that 10% of the market? There's a reason PC's get viruses....

  • I totally agree. And there are trojans and malware for the mac. Just google the iLife trojan.

  • Anyone who argues against that a bigger market-share means more malware is just lying to themselves. Pwn2own winner who hacked a mac in seconds called Mac OS "Swiss cheese" or to that effect, no one bothers with it.

And like OverClockedTech said, iLife tojan is one reason why apple is using false advertisment.

Macfags should of Pirated a REAL office suite but are too Butthurt to use the rival companies software.

Then theres the buggy as hell Software apple made for windows...

  • oh I get it, cause PCs get viruses and Macs don't! thats so funny! (nobody tell them about the new mac botnet discovered from the iSomething torrent virus)

  • huh? Honestly, obtaining contents from unknown source is prone to virus.

  • oh ya i heard about that. So it looks like macs are getting more malware and trojans now that they have hit mainstream.
