92% of the market is held by Windows to Mac's 5% so naturally quite the majority of viruses are designed for Windows.

If you get a virus on a PC then you aren't at the technical level of downloading free anti-virus software and so probably should buy a Mac; a computer with training wheels.

I might also add that those creating viruses stand to gain alot more from attacking multi billion dollar corporations (PC users) than unemployed hipsters in starbucks typing away on their mac books

Yeah, Windows is still attacked. Why? Cause it's most popular OS for ordinary people (e.g. accountants or students). Make a Mac such popular and it will be attacked too. But Apple then can make some iAntivir, iAntispyware, iAntirootkit, iWhat-Else-You-Want ;-)

Anyone who argues against that a bigger market-share means more malware is just lying to themselves. Pwn2own winner who hacked a mac in seconds called Mac OS "Swiss cheese" or to that effect, no one bothers with it.
