I used to be like Paul before he was converted (without the violence). i spent 15 years in a church unconverted because the Gospel wasnn't really preached. I was told: "say that sinners prayer to God to be saved." I hardly ever heard any preaching on sin and repentence until I listend to Paul Washer. After listening many sermons by Washer the conviction of The Holy Spirit went to the heart.

We left that church over a year ago are still healing. The NAR has done major damage to the body of Christ. Thanks for showing the MLM (multi-level marketing) aspect of this movement. I had never really considered that but it makes perfect sense given the number of Christians prone to such goofiness as MLM.

Jesus commanded us to "go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." (Mark 16:15) Then, in verses 17 and 18 it speaks of the signs that will follow "them that believe".
Revival, I think, is about the church repenting of dead works and sharing the gospel with the world, so they can do the same and believe. Then, signs and healings will folow.
FToniS, The point I was trying to make is signs and wonders will follow all those who believe Not those who believe will follow after signs and wonders. Most of the signs and wonders that are being introduced into the charismatic movement (Todd bentley, benny hinn, TBN and others) are false because the gospel these men preach is another gospel. Also, everyone needs to be careful cause the Antichrist will come with all lying signs and wonders and if possible they may deceive the very elect.

Any time you question a modern day self-appointed apostle or prophet they consider you as having a religious spirit instead of commending you for searching the scriptures and testing the spirits. He is loving and merciful and longsuffering. More longsuffering than we could ever be and I am greatful of it. Any Gospel that omits sin, depravity and wickedness prior to expressing the gift of salvation does not have any power. THe gift of salvation should have meaning to unregenerate souls.

"Religious Spirit" "Closed Minded" "Missing a move of God". I have been called it all when I resist any person's attempt to make me accept evil as good. I have learned now, after lots of mistakes, to not get baited into arguements that bring no glory to God. I firmly & quietly stand my ground, state my position clearly within God's Word, ask the Holy Spirit for self control & guidance and slowly back away. People witnessing my behavior are more likely to flee the lies & seek God's truths.

There is some truth to what you say. There are some folks in church who are religious or legalistic minded, some come out of tradition, some come to save face, some come because they are forced. Then, there are the pure in heart who crave fellowship with God &the betheren. I wonder, if attending a Bible believing church (even if a soul & heart is imperfect) is still the better choice than the TV. 90% of "christian" TV is leading the sheep astray. It's not trustworthy.

I know of a pastor that occasionally goes into churches to warn congregations about Wagners New Apostate Reformation. Check out pastor Bob Dewaay from Twin City Fellowship. Thanks FleeFROM: I wish there were someway,but I am afraid that until people being to consider solid Bible reading a Christian duty, many will continue to be mislead. This group wrecked the church I was attending. Within days of hearing that my pastor had been to the World Prayer Center I wrote him outlining exactly what this group believes, from Branham to Wagner. I became the "bad guy" and "religious spirit" sermons were preached to me. Now, the pastor's wife is "ordained" by Mark Chironna.

The answer is very simple: DON'T WATCH "Christian" TV and DON'T SHOP at "Christian" bookstores. Cancel your magazine subscriptions--Heaven knows Christianity Today is just as full of errors as Charisma. "Oh, but what will I do with my time?" How about READ YOUR BIBLE: now there's a concept! Narrow is the path!

Christian TV and mags. are garbage to say the least. I stopped watching these charlatins years ago. You can tell they are wolves just by watching them a couple of times. Most of the people that watch these wolves are not in their bibles.

Excellent advice - hrhqueene! Turn off the TV. Read the Word of God - ALL of it. Everyday. My rule for me is - Walks, if you don't read, then you don't eat. We must discipline ourselves.
How can a person follow God if they will not read His Word to us?!
I heard someone state that the entire NT can be read aloud in 18 hours. Christians in this country should be ashamed.

My wife and I were accused of having a "critical spirit" (by her own mother!) when we questioned teachings being brought into our church by a new pastor. We left that church over a year ago are still healing. The NAR has done major damage to the body of Christ. Thanks for showing the MLM (multi-level marketing) aspect of this movement. I had never really considered that but it makes perfect sense given the number of Christians prone to such goofiness as MLM.

dbremer, I pray that Jesus Christ give you and your wife revelation (a deeper revelation) of his love for you. Isn't it great to be out of the bondage of such apostasy. I pray that more people will leave this movement because they teach damnable heresies. Many of these false teachers will be thrown into the lake of fire and sadly many of their followers will follow them. Men are supposed to follow God not man. I pray that God comforts you and your wife as well as anyone leaving this heresy.

Charisma magazine is completely controlled by these guys. The Baptist bookstore even promote their books. John Maxwell, The Leadership Bible, is involved with Wagner. His Injoy corp. builds the "new" theater seating churches for Wagner worshipers.

Also, Dawntransformed, Todd Bentley fell because the true church prayed for the exposure of the evil principalities behind the lakeland revival. He fell because he was in blatant sin and did not repent. Secondly, the witches, sorcorers and satan loved the demonic activity at the lake_of_fire_land revival. Revival is not about healing. Search the scriptures. Revival is about rejecting the worldly things that tickle our ears and cleaving to JEsus Christ. Do not follow signs and wonders.

Following signs and wonders, chasing after them, can indeed lead to downfall, falling into wrong teaching and even into plain old sin.
Jesus commanded us to "go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." (Mark 16:15) Then, in verses 17 and 18 it speaks of the signs that will follow "them that believe".
Revival, I think, is about the church repenting of dead works and sharing the gospel with the world, so they can do the same and believe. Then, signs and healings will folow.

FToniS, The point I was trying to make is signs and wonders will follow all those who believe Not those who believe will follow after signs and wonders. Most of the signs and wonders that are being introduced into the charismatic movement (Todd bentley, benny hinn, TBN and others) are false because the gospel these men preach is another gospel. Also, everyone needs to be careful cause the Antichrist will come with all lying signs and wonders and if possible they may deceive the very elect.

This religious spirit line is used all the time. Any time you question a modern day self-appointed apostle or prophet they consider you as having a religious spirit instead of commending you for searching the scriptures and testing the spirits. This line was used on me today when I attempted to explain why these modern day apostles and prophets don't speak for God. Also, ravenwolf789, you are a false prophet. You do not have the authority to say someone will die for speaking falsely.

God caused Bentley to fall because he was only allowed to go 120 days! he only came to fulfill prophecy and he did, you will see the results in a few days I am pretty sure, and if you dont think god does this stuff you dont know much about God, if you need scriptural proof of this i can provide it easily! God approved him and God took him out at the right time, or did you think God got foxed by Bentley?

I have searched about 50 Internet sites, and none of the Christian Kid's Song CD have this song. Everybody used to sing that in Sunday School.
I found one site with a kid singing it, but the volume of the voice was drowned out by the dad with the guitar.

Hi jmdearras: Anyone who uses the Scriptures to question their teachings or activities is accused of having a "religious spirit." The idea is that if you were as "holy" as they are, God would be showing you these "new things" too.

Hi, But the point they miss in this argument is that the Pharisees were the ones ADDING to Scripture just like they are. So the ones with the "religious" spirits are really the ones who are NOT Pharisees, and the ones claiming to have Rehema knowledge ARE the ones who would be the Pharisees. Most of these people are not Bible readers.

Very good video I like the explanation of how the ICA works, w/ Wagner at the top of the pyramid and illustrated as such. I've been accused of having a "religious spirit" quite a few times, but I don't see how obeying God's Word is being Pharisaical or religious. The Pharisees constantly made God's Word of no effect with their man-made tradition. When Wagner and others come up with their little "catch phrases" gullible Christians just parrot it and have no understanding at all of what it means.

There is so much deception in the church today and it is getting worse daily. Where has the discernment gone from those who profess to be Christians? "Religious Spirit?"
I think we need some strong teaching on 1 John 4. We need to test the spirits and learn to discern!
