@MBArkestra you do realise a SM57 isn't traditionally a vocal mic, but never the less alot of artists use it for studio recordings, Sting i think did and does as he likes how it treats his voice. You should be able to get great recordings from it but if you want something better try a NT-1A its a great affordable LDC mic and makes voices sound great.
