  • @luckysod04.... you aren't too bright are you... this video was uploaded in 2007

  • ObamaCare at work

  • Voilà c'étais le 11 septembre en plus petit !^^

  • My grandmother was an RN at that hospital in the 60's and 70's. I was sad to see this building go, it had many memories for me. Mostly good ones though with the exception when she had to become a patient there on the 16th floor where she passed away in 1987. I was 18 that year.

  • I like how the light changed right before the building fell! Lol!

  • tell me one thing why the hell do they do that please reply

  • My guess is that the building, location, and the fact that the new hospital was out east. It was probably not financially feasible to keep it going. I know it's sad, though. I used to work there back in the 70s & 80s as a nurse. Many happy memories in that place for me.

  • @elvispresleylover123 Do what? Demolition? Or demolition with explosives? Taking the building down is usually a factor of cost - it's cheaper to tear down the old and build new, rather than trying to retrofit the old building. They use explosives because it's faster than taking it apart and has proven to be safe.

  • What I want to know is why did everyone cheer at the end? How is this a good thing, to watch the hospital Lisa Marie Presley was born in and the one Elvis stayed in and died in go down? I find it sad.

  • Besides the fact of Lisa Marie being born there and it being "Elvis' hospital", it IS, indeed strange that there were cheers. Seemed kind of inappropriate to me.

  • Yeah blackngoldga, I thought the same thing, just more history and sentiment gone.

  • I remember it was a building that got demolized in memphis I just forgot wich one.

  • watch the traffic light, lol

  • omg hay will its linden!! remember me?? i was iin amandas cabin?? yea so... that was an awesome video!! so... u workin at pincrest nxt year?

    Linden

  • i was born there on march the 17th, 1980. i returned to memphis in june on 06'. this is a weird moment for me.

  • I worked there- this is still sad to watch.

  • Yeah, my dad used to work there in the 60's. He's the one who says "Alright son, let's hit it" at the end of the video. I have quite an interest in abandoned buildings. Unfortunately I never got to explore this one. :( The old Lamar Unit was one of my favorites as well.
