Most of my best teenage memories come with these songs in the background. teenage love; boyfriend breaking up with me on Valentines! Other boyfriend, 4 years later, moving away to go to the Navy... in the end, we are still all connected thru facebook now. I just posted it on both their walls!
Oh my ! Someone should be put in jail for this carbon foot print ! LMFAO ! NO YOU DIRTY PERVERTED STALINISTIC PIGS SHOULD BE PUT IN A HOLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Cuteblondchick72 I was a senior when this came out. It is amazing how can you can hear a song and you are transported right back to that place and time. Thank god the Mulletts are gone though!!!
1987, I was in college thinking I was going to marry the love of my life or my fiance, but, it didn't happen, so here I am remembering him forever, I hope you get this message dear.....
My Divorce was finalized a couple months ago.. This song, truly touches me in that place I try to avoid having any emotions at all. I love Chicago, with or without Peter Cetera. Chicago rocks no matter what. I love this song, thank you for posting it.
I was still in diapers in the 80's but I love the rock ballads from that time. That was quality music with the deepest and most beautiful lyrics. I believe that when you can feel the power of a song, the writer must had been gone thru an experience that inspired his/her heart.
God what a throw back, it was about this time, when my 1st break up with Buffy landed me face down in the street crying. I got up and picked asphalt out of my face... these songs didn't help... really well written.
I always wondered if the creepy guy in the limo (around :58 to 1:06) was a litte poke in the eye to Peter Cetera from the band. The dude sorta looks the style of hair, clothes, etc. Cetera was using as his image around then.
When Chicago fired Peter Cetera, they lost a dang good songwriter. The vast majority of singles they had after that, were written by outside writers. Billboard's 716th #1 hit of the rock era. God bless! Hugs to ya, for postin' it!
This is a cute and sexyyyy video, love PETER CETERA, i am trying to think of his song that has this lyrics, want you to know, i'm a man, say the words and i'll say it again, urghhhh, can't think of the title, helppppp!!!!!! ;) :D :-P \0/
I'm 14. When I was 7, this was my favorite song. I remember my parents buying me the CD and listening to this on repeat for hours a day, I even slept to it. I later forgot about it, and now I love this song again. It is so much better than the crap (Lil Wayne, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, etc.) that my friends listen too.
OMG 20 years ago that video came out, 20 years and all I remember hearing was how hot the chick was but never got to see the vid on MTV back then. Suddenly remembering it, it's nice to see after 20 years. And she definitely does have one hell of a body!!! sadly she's a complete buttaface.
That's one of the greatest love songs all time by one of the greatest bands in the world: Chicago, this song became the Top Song of the year 1989 on the Billboard Charts.
Great song. One of my favorites from Chicago. There is nothing like classic music, just timeless treasures. Kids these days wouldn't know music if it bit them in the ass!!!
These guys knew how to write songs... They are responsible for some of the best ballads around that come out of the & 80's. LEGENDS!!!... Sadly, the art of writing a truly classic song that means something is dying....
@MC7283 True and where is someone like that now adays who can write songs like they used to.... Doesn't take to much to impress today's youth with lyrics.
@Meketoa Diane Warren wrote this 1. Peter Cetera wrote his share of Chicago's hits. When they sacked him, they had to increasin'ly look for outside songs.
@Meketoa, I must agree. The boys of Chicago did supremely well in the 70s, showing they could go far beyond what they did in the 60s and 70s with Columbia. This is some of their best work.
Superb. Full of depth, both the lyrics and the voice, and the music works beautifully... How many of us have faced the same situation before, and wished we could have this song playing in the background right then...
@PauloSimmonsStanley Same here! I was 15 when this came out never saw thgis video but heard this song always and the lead guy replacing Peter Cetera was fine.
@PauloSimmonsStanley Same here! I was 15 when this came out never saw this video but heard this song always and the lead guy replacing Peter Cetera was fine.
Sadly you will never hear quality music like this at least not in the mainstream scene. I notice that many bands back in the 70s and 80s were in their 30s and 40s making great music. You do not see that today mainly because our society is obsessed with youth and image. Talent does not matter anymore.
@RetroJenny I hear you back then these guys or women didn't have you tube exposure or cd's and other technology they performed at clubs for years in their youth until abig name record label picked them up. look at motown they had soul groups like the spinners who performed at the apollo but no record contract then atlantic in the 70's offered a contract not big like motown but still good and the contract gave exposure to them. that's why they sang into their 30's and 40's they worked harder.
THE GREATEST BILL CHAMPLIN SUNG CHICAGO BALLAD EVER!!! This is where the former Sons Of Champlin leader and founder really came into his own proving that one of the baritone voices could carry a pop number 1 hit during their transitional 1980's period!!! Written by the wicked blessed Grammy Winning Songwriter Diane Warren many critics and fans did not even realized Look Away was Chicago when it was first release in 1988!!! I always loved the image of the goregous model walking away the car!!!!!
