CLASSIC!! I remember watching old re-runs of Opera Winfrey's chat show back in the mid-1990s and I remember this Harpo productions logo + theme very well, thanks :)

I havn't bothered to read the comments to this video...I am from england and I remember my mum watching this in the early 1990s (1993) and for some reason I remember the darling Oprah curtsying twice....I dont know if I've spelt that right!...but I rembmber the last high notes of the fanfare playing twice as oprah curtsyed twice...again..not sure of the spelling!...anyone remember?...let me know!xx

@MrJsm1988 I remember this too. I think it was when Channel 4 showed Oprah. They'd replay the last three notes over another production company endcap but I can't remember what company it was. It might have been King World.

This logo used to scare the crap out of me because the first couple violin notes would play and the music would cut off and be replaced by an announcer talking about the next show comming up.

This logo used to scare me ever since the 1990's, but from 2002 to 2010, I was just scared of being scared by seeing this. But in September of 2010, I saw this YouTube video and it was nothing. I also wanted this logo to be seen on the final show so I could see the logo on television for the first and last time as not being scared of it.

Looks "The Oprah Winfrey Show" is the only syndicated TV that CBS Television Distribution distributes but doesn't include the CBS Television Distribution logo. Neither that nor Harpo's logo were seen.

Columbia Television owned the rights at first (from KingWorld), CBS just had the syndication rights handed over to them (since they brought out Columbia).

I'd say by the time fall comes around, we'll see the CBS logo.

If you meant Sony Pictures Television, then SPT does not own "The Oprah Winfrey Show". CBS Television Distrbution is the syndicator with Harpo Productions as producer. As of 2008, neither logos were seen.

I thought Columbia Television hasn't really existed for a number of years. It's been rebranded as Sony Television.
