I was fortunate to attend the original play in 1988 at the Piccadilly Palace Theater in Hamra Street, Beirut.
I have to admit that Houda is irreplaceable. The young Rahbanis might have enhanced the play with a bigger decor and an updated versions of the songs with a different twist, and that is a move forward, but I have to admit that they took a step back by failing to select someone equal to Houda.
