  • Bad Ass! Can't wait to see what you so with a more suitable wood.

  • what type of wire or string did you use? i didnt catch that part in your how to videos

  • poplar rots really fast

  • would a bow like this wear our fast like a survival bow?

  • Wat type of string did u use? PLEASE REPLY! and can u give a tutorial????

  • fucker sounds like a laser gun hahaha ... no seriously get a dampener on that string or youll start some stress cracks! great lookin bow man, seems fast!

  • Nice where did you get the arrows from?

  • Really good job fella.

  • how ya do it?????????????/

  • @mrblackop99 i put up a three video series on this. check out my channel or type in How to Make a Selfbow Part 1

  • nice bow

  • hey cool bow but i really like the music cool who is it ? it rocks :)

  • @lordlabeau tim brooks and the alien sharecroppers...good stuff for sure.

  • i must say they may take functionality down but the knots on the bow look amazing and watching the arrow i could have sworn it was a 40lb nice work

  • Good looking bow. When will we see the next bow on video? You can't build just one, trust me I have a closet full of them.

  • What if you hit the camera?!?!?

  • great job from a wood i wouldnt expect! i bet you were nervous drawing that bow back on the first shot huh! take that baby out for some wabbits!

  • you should make some silencers, they really helped my bow

  • Nice bow and shooting, man.

    Go around.

  • It shoots well but the tillering seems to be a bit off but I can't exactly place what seems to be the problem.

  • pretty great. ive tried and failed many times to make a bow out of poplar until i realized it was terrible bow wood but my hats off to u man great job!

  • to make shooting faster put our right hand back when shoot.

sorry for my bad English)) i'm from Ukraine=)

  • thats rather impressive, i dont care how much it pulls, to know a common man made this, and made it so well, and so beautiful, with only hand tools!! .....that my friend, is the bow spirit, 5 stars

  • great song wish life was more simple

  • Tight! do ya have a manufacturing video? Love to see beginning to completion. I carved a bunny thumper out of ash, not as beautiful as yours I admit. I want to step up the challenge on bow building. What is the draw measurements on this bow ya made?

  • Nice bow man, good work. How long did it take to make?

  • nice bow, whats the song? its kind of terrible but i can relate to it

  • idk how to make a bow that won't break!!!!

  • Im making a bow thats 4 feet long in a CAD program, About how long should my arrows be. I dont have a poundage of the bow or anything since its purly virtual, so is there a general ratio of bow length to arrow length?

  • wow nice

  • Just one question, is that really 30lbs draw. It doesn't really seem like it.

  • love it man! clean shooter in the hands of a good shot!

  • Nice selfbow man, but legolas shoots faster than you even when you cut parts out! *jokes*

I really like the video, I'm in the process of making a selfbow, my first attempt was 3 feet of pine (JUST TO SEE HOW A BOW WAS MADE) so I don't mess up with a better piece of wood. Just wondering, do the neighbors ever say anything lol? And don't hit the camera!!! 1:35

  • nice!

  • hey thats kewl man i wish i did something like that when i was your age

  • That is a beautiful bow, no doubt. I am suprised you didn't back it with something, due to the weaker wood. A rawhide backing would have been nice, but this bow seems to shoot very well. Was the Poplar from a Sapling or a large diameter tree? I am very sure if you were within 10 yards and you had a razor sharp broadhead, you could put an arrow deep enough into the engine room of a Deer. Nice bow. Good Job.

  • it was from a 10" diameter section of a tree that fell down in our yard after a tornado. and thank you

  • @josef2424 i cant identify woods for my life im amking one out of poplar but i dont know what kind since its the only abundant woood we got and i dont feel like finding a maple tree so do i have t make it that thin and can you send me blue prints

    please reply thats awsome

    imma Primitive man

  • Its called primitive man by tim brooks and the alien sharecroppers

  • Great bow man, good work. And good shooting too :)

BTW, what's the name of the song played?

  • nice job!! hey how did ya get the ends to curve back. or did they just do tht when ya strung it?

  • I'd say it would be able to take a deer withing twenty or thirty yards not bad man looks smooth

  • It's a nice bow but I wouldn't advize poking any deer with less than 40lbs!

  • Wow.

You got a 30# draw weight bow from Poplar?

    That's too cool.

    Great job!

You must have really taken your time tillering.

    How long did it take?

  • wow very cool that thing shoots perfectly . wat wood did u use

  • Good bow!

  • Wow. You have better form then a bunch of people on youtube,

  • That is a beautiful bow! It sure does shoot quickly. :-)

  • oh i see. btw your a good shot haha like everytime it was 2 inch group of arrows

  • great bow what did you use for string?

  • I was using a tillering string which can be modified to fit any size bow.

  • Nice bow for your first time dude. Keep it up, you have some good skills

  • Your bow has nothing on my bow.

I think we need to have a Bow-off

    Poofsie!!! VS Splinters!!!
