fucker sounds like a laser gun hahaha ... no seriously get a dampener on that string or youll start some stress cracks! great lookin bow man, seems fast!
pretty great. ive tried and failed many times to make a bow out of poplar until i realized it was terrible bow wood but my hats off to u man great job!
thats rather impressive, i dont care how much it pulls, to know a common man made this, and made it so well, and so beautiful, with only hand tools!! .....that my friend, is the bow spirit, 5 stars
Tight! do ya have a manufacturing video? Love to see beginning to completion. I carved a bunny thumper out of ash, not as beautiful as yours I admit. I want to step up the challenge on bow building. What is the draw measurements on this bow ya made?
Im making a bow thats 4 feet long in a CAD program, About how long should my arrows be. I dont have a poundage of the bow or anything since its purly virtual, so is there a general ratio of bow length to arrow length?
Nice selfbow man, but legolas shoots faster than you even when you cut parts out! *jokes*
I really like the video, I'm in the process of making a selfbow, my first attempt was 3 feet of pine (JUST TO SEE HOW A BOW WAS MADE) so I don't mess up with a better piece of wood. Just wondering, do the neighbors ever say anything lol? And don't hit the camera!!! 1:35
That is a beautiful bow, no doubt. I am suprised you didn't back it with something, due to the weaker wood. A rawhide backing would have been nice, but this bow seems to shoot very well. Was the Poplar from a Sapling or a large diameter tree? I am very sure if you were within 10 yards and you had a razor sharp broadhead, you could put an arrow deep enough into the engine room of a Deer. Nice bow. Good Job.
@josef2424 i cant identify woods for my life im amking one out of poplar but i dont know what kind since its the only abundant woood we got and i dont feel like finding a maple tree so do i have t make it that thin and can you send me blue prints
Bad Ass! Can't wait to see what you so with a more suitable wood.
