Nice landing. But hey whats perfect? Perfect is downrange @ 6foot per second. Your landing was steeper. You just made it look real nice by trimming the airplane before it took down. Thats not a usual procedure.

@Awsomeology404 I used a MadCatz xbox 360 control.. It's great! You should check them.. They aren't that expensive and the feeling is great!.. I have to tell you that is kind of difficult to fly with it the first time, but once you get use to it, I'm pretty sure you'll never change it.. Thanks for the comment!

Never did all passengers die because of overshooting a runway. Never.

One came close, forgot which flight it was, but out of so many hundred people one girl survived.

A passenger jet never lost all its people by overshooting the runway.

So your comment makes little sense.

Landing brakes are set to 1 or 2 during routine landings.

If a plane does tend to overshoot you can always hit landing brakes to setting 3 or setting maximum.

the video title certainly doesnt meet what the video displays. I agree with that.

But a overspeed landing doesnt perse mean you are destined to overshoot.

And if a plane tends to do that, most pilots will measure whether it does or not and go around.

140-160 for a 747? according to the references in the game as well as other sources i know, landing speed is 188 KIAS

I wasn't going that fast bro, i understand what you're saying, it looks like i was going too fast but i wasn't, i landed around 160.. also, the runway was very long and i controlled the plane with pleasure because of the runway.. at 210 i woudn't be able to land that smoothly because the plane would go up fast.. but good point, i appreciatte your comment, actually, i'm gonna socre +1..

No, in computer screen you just cant see the speed, so simply, many landings shows much more high speed than they are, especially with zoom..

And it is easily possible to do smooth landing with 140-150 knots.

It´s normal landing, not perfect i think, but good. PEACE :p

@fsimpro to land smooth here are some tips 1.good approach speed. 2. don't ever over speed.3.decend to the airport. and last don't flare while on approach or you will slightly gain altitude

@fsimpro Keep your descent rate as close to 0 as possible, but still ever so slightly descending. Pitching up raises your descent/climb rate, down does the opposite. Once you find a good descent rate, adjust your joystick extremely slightly to hold your nose at the exact pitch it's at.

Also, keep your speed at like 130 mph or somethin slow like that.

Nice landing! Although i don't think in real life the landing gear would hop up and down like that. I'm prob gonna get some thumbs down for this but if you're not a die-hard FSX fan and are open to new things, definitely check out X-Plane 9. It's very good and a lot cheaper. It has way better flight dynamics and the scenery is actually quite good if you have a good computer. I'm a pilot in real life and I can say that X-Plane is a lot better if you want some real experience. FAA certified too!
