  • OMG! I had to take a wide close look into my screen... You look so much like my husband... He and I both had surgery for weight loss in 2008... Mine was has gone well... Im half my size... Lost over 200 pounds but sadden to say my husband passed away a year later due to complications from it after losing 150 pounds.. He so wanted this new life and I was pleased we were both going to go through it together and love to live our new life. I look at the before and after pictures and see what he co

  • This video is what is motivating me do get surgery. I have always been big, but being young I could hold it at spots. Now I'm 25 and its getting harder and harder to not climb past 365 mark. People don't understand that its not always a food problem, its a metabolism problem. This video makes me very happy for you. You deserve all the happiness I see you have in the video.

  • WAY TO GO. had the same done in 09 went from 400 lbs to 180 lbs 220 lbs lost

  • chris i am in the process of having the surgery and this is my first time watching and i would just like to say i think you were a good looking guy before surgery but you are a much healthier good looking guy now

  • handsome guy :-)

  • Congrads on all you have lost but i have to say you have BEAUTIFUL EYES!

  • ...so tell the truth!? What were your glitches ~ leakages, infection, adhesions, bowel movements, nausea, pain the list can & probably will be endless for the rest of your life. Grumpy nurse just tired from looking after people like you whilst being nice, always nice...! Are you on any antidepressants...??? Yeah, so, how's it really all going for you...???

  • A FREAKIN MAZING!

  • You remind me so much of me but I am at the begining of my journey and you are well on your way in yours. I see alot of ppl who are morbidly obese worried about extra skin that is the least of my concerns I wanna live and enjoy life. God will make a way to handle the skin or the problems associated with it when I get to that stage. Don't let extra skin stop you from surgery. cause right now it is not extra, It is filled with stuff that is killing you. Rock On Chris ;..;

  • Wow honey! Amazing transformation and your eyes are gorgeous! Congratulations on taking back your life! I go for my RNY in 3 weeks!!!

  • Wow man, grats. I have been watching a lot of these "My journey begins" vids, and yours if by far the most inspirational to me. First, you were smiling when you were big, and your still smiling normal sized. 2ndly, with your shirt off (big), you look almost identical to me. I have the exact same body type. So, knowing that you turned the same body as mine, into looking amazing is great! I am 6'4" 425 lbs. Doing this surgery for my daughter, she is the world to me, and I want to be here for her.

  • Ah-mazing! I can't believe you're the same guy in those pictures. Wow!

  • You Look Amazing.. So what about now- 2 yrs later.. I am a fellow Roux n Yer'..

I lost 223 pds since January 21,2002 and had a Child.. I have been blessed with keeping it off.. Still is hard.. but I refuse to go back..

  • well done !

  • That is just awesome. You look amazing. Those blazing blue eyes shone through prior to the surgery, but now they are incredible.

I'm on my own journey, and the thing I love more than anything when I watch these videos is the changes that take place inside, along with the external ones. You can see that clearly in your vid.

    Congrats. You deserve it.

  • I've been doing a lot of research into getting this surgery as its difficult to get funding under our National Health Service & there is no surgeon performing bariatrics in NI at the moment, so you have to travel to London. Your quality of life must be 1000% better now - I especially like the photo of you on your bike ;o) Thank you so much for sharing your transformation & keep on rockin'!

  • Chris, you look amazing dude. Many, many congratulations. A real inspiration! Gillian (Northern Ireland)

  • im considering this surgery myself........ im 19 years old, 305 lbs. was @ 330 then i started at the gym, was down to 290.....but i fell off and havent been able to get back in my routine at the gym. im at 305 lbs 6ft. tall now. anybody have recommendations? and krobar, do you have any really baggy skin left? around your stomach or anywhere?

  • @classix1 Thanks for checking out my video. I do have some extra skin but at your age you may be ok and not have any loose skin or very little.

  • This a really god transformation. I bet u are happy. I am just a little over 2 months total of 10 weeks out from surgery. I have already lost total of 58lbs and I feel great. I can't wait to be able to do more things. Well hope everything is great!

  • @angelbabi198127 Thanks for the positive comment and good luck with your surgery.

  • @angelbabi198127 Wow, just curious but how many calories a day would you consume after the surgery?

  • This is true inspiration! I myself am trying to begin the process to get the surgery, but everyone I have called, or emailed wont reply to me. I am in the Memphis,TN area. If anyone can help me find out what to do, or where I can find out any information that can be helpful, I would appreciate it. Feel free to comment on my page. The catch is, for the past few years ive been self employed and dont have insurance, and as of January, Ive been out of work. ( im in construction) Thanks in advance

  • Amazing! I have been thinking about going through with bypass surgery for the past year. My weight has gotten out of control and I need help. Your video is inspiring. People keep telling me "it's the easy way out" and crap like that. I think it takes a lot of strength to do something so monumental for yourself. Thanks for posting this vid. Krobar is a Rockstar!

  • Krobar, I have to tell ya MAN we are a like. see I ride a harley and guess what, I am having my roux en y at the end of May 2009. You have inspired me to make some videos of my own. Rock on! JayHarleyrider09.

  • Thanks for the comment. Its good to see bikers not afraid to go down this road and not think its the easy way out or the sissy thing to do. If anything this will be the hardest thing you will go through in your life but the healthy side is the best way to go so rock on brother

I wish you all the luck in the world as you continue on your journey to becoming who you want to be. And yes I have to agree with the other comments and tell you that you look very handsome now...but more importantly, you look SO much happier!

  • Sorry I have responded to your comment after your surgery date but good luck on your new lifestyle and a healthier you. If you have any Questions about anything feel free to ask

  • Great job........Your just a Hott person period......NOT cause you lost weight..The eyes visually show who we are.

    Great job

I am 1 week post op and need all the knowledge I can get....so you tube seems to give it!!

    Thanks so much, Suzzanne

  • Thanks Suzzanne, I'm going to have to deflate my big head now so i can leave the house and again thank you

  • Awsome Video....

But more importantly.....i feel we all are hot people...in our own way.

Just that society puts in a different category, which thay shouldn't.

You rock and I am 1 week post op

and glad to be part of a growing community...

people looking at our health and the icing on the cake is for everyone to visually see how cool we all always have been.

    Great accomplishment....

    Suzzanne

  • Thanks for the comment. I also agree that people are treated differently because of how they look and it is a rotten thing that society has to put people in categories like your in high school

  • Nice job Krobar! I'm sure you extended many years on your life.

With a physical on January 28, I'm just starting on my journey. Your video is really an inspiration.

    -Doug

  • Congrats. :) You've come a long way, you look great :)

  • Thanks for the congrats. it was a long road with some bumps but I feel great and I'm enjoying eating to live and not living to eat

  • AMAZING TRANSFORMATION!

  • Thanks for the comment

  • hey dude congrats. firstly my wife fancies you, its ok she ugly. im having my op on the 26th feb cant wait, were you left with much excess skin sorry for askin cause you look cool in the pics.

  • Thanks for the congrats. As for your question about the excess skin, I was left with some around my lower abdomen and my chest. its ok though I might get the excess skin removed but my health was my first concern and then my next step is a body lift. This is something to consider after about a year and a half or two years so to allow your skin to shrink and catch up to the rapid weight loss if it is bothersome to you. I hope this helps you and good luck with the surgery.

  • well done! WOW

  • I'm 16 in 15 days, I am 330 pounds and have a 90% chance of getting this surgery in 4 months. I can't wait to change my life.

  • Good luck with your surgery. It definitely is a life changing surgery not only physically and mentally but the way you eat and choose your food...

  • OMG!!! This is the best video I have seen on here so far.You look amazing, I am having my surgery on Jan 21st and hope to do as well as u. U Rock!!! :)

  • Thanks for the props. god luck on your surgery and a healthy new you.....

  • Great job! ;)

  • Thanks for the comment

  • This music is rather different than most of the sweet poppy music played during these before and after vid's Made my day.

    Thanks, Cait

  • I'm not one to play poppy music at home or in my videos. Thanks for the commet too.....

  • Dude!! You are my hero!! I am having my surgery on 12/30/08 and I was 410...if I can get to 210 like you...we'll both be RockStars!!

  • Mike you are my hero too. I wish I posted videos on youtube to show my progress like you are doing now. my video is great at showing the before and after pic's but it isn't as informational like what you are doing for the new WLS community out there. keep up the great v-logs and I welcome you to the losers bench........

    Chris

  • Just trying to do my part to alliviate the fears some folks have about this surgical procedure and broaden my horizons as I embark on my new life. I am glad you are a part of it all!! Keep it real!! - Mike

  • Yes the informative videos are good but video's like these are my favorite! Well Done! I hope to be on the losers bench by the end of the month!

    Sexy eyes ;)

  • Thankx for the comment and good luck on your surgery.

  • are you able to drink beer afterwards?

  • You can but I would recommend you don't. The problem you run into is beer has carbonation and will stretch your newly sized stomach and any alcohol will hit you like a junuor high school girl.......

    Krobar...
