I'm 47 years old and went through the very same experiences during the past few years Laurie . Much like Leija mentioned....these experiences had to be increasingly mirrored in order to be cleared. Years ago, I also had a dream about a bear. I heard it roar and growl and I was running from it, it was something I couldn't see. Then I saw the bear, and It came to me and was waiting for my command. I then realised the bear was not to be feared, but in fact it was a friend to me. It revealed a truth, that people are afraid of what they don't understand and we shouldn't just be afraid and let our own thoughts make us afraid. Just live each day to the fullest. :-)

Yep Yep.... people sometimes think that it's about other people because it's selfish to love yourself.... or to take care of yourself.... but it's not. One must lead by example and stay in a high vibration. That doesn't mean that you are not compassionate with others, it just means that you stay away from people who victimize themselves.... there are many people who literally suck energy from you.... what a great video!!!! thank you!!

I think i'm seeing a pattern. my family doesn't respect me at all.. they have been abused by their family and they put up with it.. so they don't respect themselves.. so i can see how they won't respect me either. a person shouldn't take it personalty because the person who isn't respecting you doesn't' really respect themselves so they don't really know how to. As I see it there are 2 basic types of people, Introspective and Projective.

The Projectives will play victim ad infinitum, and always look for someone to blame.

Introspectives will let themselves be steamrolled by Projectives, usually for FAR too long. And even a kind attempt to end a toxic relationship will result in more blame, there seems to be no easy way to do this.

I just broke off my engagement because I didn't feel I was being respected. That was hard to do and it was even more difficult to discern if I was actually the source of the problems/criticisms or had somehow invited the treatment I was getting. I realized that I was being weakened through co-dependency and the real test was not to solve the issue at hand, but to strengthen myself by demanding a certain level of respect at any cost; including leaving and starting over on my own. That I did.
