I don't know much about diesel engines but ever since I heard the turbo whistle on my buddies truck I've wanted one of those mean motherfuckers. Can anyone give me the heads up on owning a 7.3 F250 ? I'm looking at buying an 02 with 75k on the odometer. Thanks.

The turbo has the ATS TURBO HOUSING, and wicked wheel. and custom intake

its a ford superduty truck with a 7.3 Powerstroke turbo diesel engine. Diesels dont rev high like gasoline motors.

well I got my truck back. I have hardly any sound when I'm in the 1000 rpm range but when it spools up into the 2000's it sounds great. I love that noise when I'm riding through town and let off.

well you could take the silencer ring out to make it a bit louder. if you havent already.

i have DP tuner on mine, foil delete and a wicked wheel and aftermarket air filter. mine sounds nothing like that

I heard the ATS shroud housing makes a huge difference along with all those mods. I dont have a 7.3 yet, but im doing all the research of all the mods im going to do to the truck before i get it so i dont run into any problems. But also im bored, have no job, and am waiting for boot camp so i have time for this

Why would they stop putting turbos on a diesel engine? I did the foil delete and you cant hear the turbo like his so this must have an aftermarket compressor wheel [or turbo]. Sounds sick tho.

For a Chip, i recommend TS performance or DP tuner. best on the market, not banks or bully dog.

i have edge on my 7.3. pretty good. dual 5 inch stacks, larger injectors. it will poor the black smoke when i set the chip to smoke./

but the dp tuner is better by far. had the edge and i hated it! will never go back and dont tell nybody to get it! not worth the money at all when you can get a coustom made chip for your truck for like $200 more...but thats my opionion...

thats why i went with a banks 6 gun setup on my 96 250 that baby screams when i turn it up and if i wanna smoke a lil i just shift up to a higher gear and roll into her. i can smoke out almost a 4 lane highway ifi fel like it:) love my truck
