me and my bf tried the long distance thing for 2.5 years....out of our 6 year relationship....he went to japan and im in canada..so you see the 13 hour difference IS REALLY HARD!! whenever its day time here its night there it didnt work out.we always kept arguing and the main argument was based on communication.. he would not reply my msgs/emails and yes i felt like he didnt care enough.he came to visit and we acted as if we never parted.we're trying again but i will see how it will go.

My boyfriend lives an hour away from me. During the week we are in the same town thanks to college. Due to college and his family finding time is sometimes difficult. His family sometimes keeps us apart for weeks at a time due to things he needs to do to help his family. I always feel insignificant and lonely without texting we would never talk. During the summer we bearly see one another at all. Thanks for the advice. I know people like me and him need it.

I live in NY, and he lives in Canada… We've been talking about who is going to move and who isn't. Sounds so much like my boyfriend and I. We met online and it took us 6 months before we even had a chance to meet, and for me to take the plunge again because I failed badly previously... we barely had 3 days too when we finally met, and I knew at the end of that I'd found the right one. So true, ive been with my partner for a year and 3 months and honesty and being open about things is top priority of things you should do as well as everything else you mentioned. You really do know when your with the right person cause nothing else matters anymore. Everyone argues in relationships but its how you deal with it and come to mutual ground to the end the argument is what keeps you and your partner strong, great video :)

I met a man over the internet and for a year we got to know each other, we fell in love. After a year he came to Australia with his family and we met for the first time. We were together for five days and they were the best five days of my life. Saying goodbye to him was devastating, but we got through. 3 weeks later I had a break down and he left me. My boyfriend from New Zealand who I've never met in person before came down on Dec 14th. Everything went better than expected and he made me more happy than I have ever been in my entire life. My boyfriend lives an hour away from me. During the week we are in the same town thanks to college. Due to college and his family finding time is sometimes difficult. His family sometimes keeps us apart for weeks at a time due to things he needs to do to help his family. I always feel insignificant and lonely without texting we would never talk. During the summer we bearly see one another at all. Thanks for the advice. I know people like me and him need it.

Sounds so much like my boyfriend and I. We met online and it took us 6 months before we even had a chance to meet, and for me to take the plunge again because I failed badly previously... we barely had 3 days too when we finally met, and I knew at the end of that I'd found the right one. I believe too that there's more than one person out there for everyone, but suddenly no one else matters when you've found one of them. :)

So true, ive been with my partner for a year and 3 months and honesty and being open about things is top priority of things you should do as well as everything else you mentioned. You really do know when your with the right person cause nothing else matters anymore. Everyone argues in relationships but its how you deal with it and come to mutual ground to the end the argument is what keeps you and your partner strong, great video :)

Oh my gosh this video really hit home for me! When my fiance and I first met, we weren't exactly in a long distance relationship but we were about a half hour apart and everyone teased us because of the constant contact by texts or phone. I really can't describe the timeliness of this video to my life. My boyfriend, and the man I believe to be the love of my life, just left for basic military training last week, and we've never been apart! I can't have any correspondence with him except through a few letters, and it's a new experience. My boyfriend from New Zealand who I've never met in person before came down on Dec 14th. Everything went better than expected and he made me more happy than I have ever been in my entire life. We've known each other for 4 years but this was our first time ever meeting in person (I live in Canada). I really liked this video because I think you highlighted on some of the more important issues in a long distance relationship. I have been in a long distance relationship for a few years now and I have to say that I feel closer to my partner in so many ways that I feel like I would have missed out on knowing in a conventional relationship.

I'm in a long distance relationship as well, We've talked on and off for five years, first meeting through an online video game, then moving over from that to Facebook. When I moved to his state, he left for ND for work. He just visited me for the first time last month for three days, then had to leave. He says he'll come visit me once a month, but it will only be three days each time he visits once a month. Is it wrong of me not to be in love with him even after he's confessed his love for me?

My boyfriend lives in another city... it's only 30 mins away but it's not the same, is not like he can come during the week to see me.Your tip of trusting the other person really helped. It's not that I fully don't trust him, it's just because of the person he is. He is the sort of guy that every girl wants to date and lots of girls are constantly flirting with him. I know he wouldn't of asked me out if he didn't want to date me but just the fact that he's far away puts me on edge.
