Yeah, it's lovely looking back at the time. This brick used to cost 600 bucks when now thin touch screen phones can be as low as 10 bucks or even free, if you sign a contract for your soul. @Hittman305 well, that's been my experience, anyway. so many times at the end of my "landline" days, i'd be in a situation where i'd be expecting a phone call and i knew i couldn't be too far from home because i needed to catch it when it rang. and it reached a point where everyone just naturally assumed i HAD a cell, in those cases. they'd be like "oh, u don't have one?" it's so much more convenient now to be able to come and go as i please and have my phone on me whenever, wherever.

We're into making fun of consumerism with our "still using" channel. With the pretense that using outdated technology is like drug use that needs to be cured. Because that's the message we get from ads and media. Gotta have the latest iPad, iPhone, etc. We're inviting other youtubers (that's you!) will come and share their usage of "outdated" technology...

@garyadamsjr It sure is! Especially when you consider that todays cellphones are a fraction of that price, and things like internet, camera, video camera, video games, are standard on today's phones.
Kids of today have no Idea what it was like growing up without all that technology. I was born in '77, the most technology anyone I knew, had growing up, was Atari or original Sega. I got my first pager in '94, when I was 17, and only a few other friends had that! Only the very rich had cellphones
