The fact that one assassination would ultimately lead to two world wars and cause the deaths of tens of millions of people, cause the rise of communism and eventually the establishment of the USA as the top world power is just astounding.
@Honorharringtonfan, just search "Nye Committee" as an introduction into the role of international bankers in wars. Banksters are how countries which can barely afford to feed their people or build a road can suddenly become major, long term players in a protracted war. Lending, and more importantly, charging interest to finance both sides of a conflict are why the conflicts exist once you strip away the bankster propaganda from the bankster controlled press. And/or to steal resources.
quite good documentary, although it shows hungary as an equal part of austrians in the empire, which is wrong. the agreement was made between the 2 countries after loosing freedom war against austrians in 1849. hungary was under controll of austria (military, internal affairs, foreign affairs etc.)
@bfine123 No, you're absolutely right. I just got to the part that said "the people of Sarajevo didn't know that a clutch of soviet army officers...". Were they pre-1917 Russian Army Soviets or something? Is this just sloppy writing?
@congressstandard apparently, either I'm an idiot or need to buy better speakers. Was hoping to be surprised with something like Bolshevik conspiracy within the Imperial Army :) . Meh...
