F**k all the negativity people are saying about this video "emo sellouts" what bullshit! Capdown have been one of the the most eminent bands of the punk ska/punk scene whilst keeping a raw sound of their own which isn't anything like that crappy over produced emo sound. name one band who sounds like their old stuff... NO ONE!... and name a band who sounds like wind up toys? Neither can I!

Anyway.. rant over! can't wait to see capdown at reading!!!

a year late but i still have to say how the fuck is this emo in any way, theyre a straight up punk band and as for them "selling out" did they really? were they on top of the pops? was there adverts on the tv? did they provide the soundtrack for a chick flick? as far as i understand it selling out means giving up your principles or your beliefs etc in exchange for MONEY!!!! and thats not what they did at all they just changed their sound and for the record i didnt like wind up toys at all

Yes there stuff is different now but soo what, their sound devloped over time, there was difference between civil disobedience and pound. I study music, an music is pretty much all i involve myself in on a daily basis, i have a diverse taste in music and i can appreciate it when a band makes an effort to stray from the formula to try and create something new, you need to broaden your horizons to be fair.

Yes they've changed i prefer the pound days but they now have a more mature sound, well did before they split. Plus how can you judge when you say i heard the song Pound for the sound and now this? All bands have to make money to keep going. After the past few years with alot of the best British ska bands having to throw the towel in because they couldn't afford to keep going I would of thought this fact was obvious.

I'm not exactly a fan of Capdown's newer stuff (only like maybe 3 tracks on Toys) but to say they're emo or selling out because of one video is insane.
