Every song by La Dispute makes me cry. Each song for a different reason, but also because I've never experienced something so beautifully written... Nor have I ever listened to any band that managed to portray such emotion in their music. Music artists should look to this band for inspiration because this is TRUE music.

For those who are well versed in music theory, or has ever played an instrument in a band, this is written in 5/4 time, with a free time at the shouting part halfway through. Took me awhile to figure this out, but it just makes them that much more awesome.

@KichiTyph ok first off, that's super basic. hardly takes being well versed in music theory. and secondly, the shouting part isn't in free time. it's a 4 bar pattern: a bar of 4/4, followed by a bar of 2/4, then two more of 4/4. come on, man...

@KichiTyph They aren't musical geniuses; for it *can* in fact be counted. Free time is a substitute for alternating time signatures and odd times only for a simplistic musician.

@nickcsd With that logic, any song can be fully counted, regardless of free time or rubato, etc. Plus, as another commenter said, it doesn't line up very well. They may have a common tempo, but the measures are very much varying with 4/4, 2/4, 3/4 and 5/4. Thus, it'd be easier to just say free time.
