I recently visited there, and Internet cafes are everywhere, its rare for ppl to have internet connection at home. The cafe's charge 25 cents/half hour, the connection sucks too. Also, many Intl organizations set up English schools in many villages that can't afford schooling and school is very inexpensive. IT DOES NOT MEAN PPL THERE ARE MIDDLE CLASS.

I mean Cambodia isn't a super wealthy country, so I find it hard to believe the poorest of the poor in Cambodia, a country known for it's mild poverty, can pay for electricity, computer equipment, Internet bill, etc ON TOP OF a halfway decent shelter with working wiring and food/water.
Now I am not an expert on how life in Cambodia works, but I believe the poorest of the poor Cambodians are too busy trying not to die before the age of 5 to bother with computer equipment.
With all the people back in the 60's who protested the Vietnam war. I would like them to go to the killing fields and Pol Pots "re-education" camps in where millions of Cambodians and Vietnamese where murdered after the USA pulled out and turned over all obligations to the South. Funny how they never protested that, just the evil Americans trying to stop communist.

All the Vietcong had been hiding inside the Cambodian Government even before Pol Pot in 1975. So, Pol Pot also worried about Vietcong, but somehow they had to finished the American war, so the 1975 victory came, Vietcong did not withdraw their armies, but instead they Kill all the Lun Nol generals and armies, and so on....

Someone here said there are KR in Phnom Penh and Hanoi. That is NOT TRUE in Hanoi. And OF COURSE it's BEEN 31 years from 1979 now, Even the KR live in PP, they are very OLD AGES now. Compare 31 years from 1979 + their ages in 1979 (some are 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, and so on) Example: Pol Pot himself was 45 at the time in 1978 + 31 years from now = 76 years old if he still alive and can't go to fight with the Vietnamese anymore. There is NO Khmer Rouge in Hanoi. Because Vietnamese don't like the KR. The Vietnamese Army will kill all the KR if there are KR in Viet Nam. You can read All the Vietnamese COMMENTS. They never like the Khmer Rouge & Pol Pot at all. I don't blame it. I believe there are KR in Phnom Penh. Because in the '80, '90, the former KRs have no job (no money) so they joined Hun Sen's soldiers and Hun Sen accepted because he needs more soldiers to protect the country.

Before Pol Pot, Sihanouk allowed the Vietcongs to use Cambodian border to fight the South Vietnam. And the Chinese told Sihanouk to support the Vietcong, and Sihanouk did it. Sihanouk can flip flop all the time. Too many Cambodians were killed because of Sihanouk at first place.

I recently visited there, and Internet cafes are everywhere, its rare for ppl to have internet connection at home. The cafe's charge 25 cents/half hour, the connection sucks too. Also, many Intl organizations set up English schools in many villages that can't afford schooling and school is very inexpensive. IT DOES NOT MEAN PPL THERE ARE MIDDLE CLASS.

Apparently Cambodian citizens aren't doing too good themselves, as the mortality rate for kids ages 1-5 is as high as 23% in some provinces.
Apparently the population in said provinces were supposed to get some form of financial aid from the first world, but certain Cambodian leaders decided the money would be put to better use by being diverted into their own private accounts. I mean Cambodia isn't a super wealthy country, so I find it hard to believe the poorest of the poor in Cambodia, a country known for it's mild poverty, can pay for electricity, computer equipment, Internet bill, etc ON TOP OF a halfway decent shelter with working wiring and food/water.
Now I am not an expert on how life in Cambodia works, but I believe the poorest of the poor Cambodians are too busy trying not to die before the age of 5 to bother with computer equipment.
