@ihrmc Actually I have. I tried low carb for about 2 weeks. And then I ended up bingeing and got into a mindset of " I just can't do this diet thing anymore" so I ate whatever I wanted for a month, gained the 10 lbs I lost and more.
Basically things that take you into ketosis will put your body in a acidic state, which is not good anyways. The only reason Low carb works is because you get full fast with all the fat and protein, then your body goes to make carbs from those.
@ihrmc So basically I just love carbs way too much to do that. About 60% of my diet is carbs and I should try to cut down to like 30% and focus on lean protein, however, I'm trying to learn how to portion food now, I don't pay as much attention to what I eat. I just make sure to include a lot of fiber and lean meats and also a lot of beans lately. But I do love my rice, chips, and mac & cheese. Have you tried those diets?
Anyway, I'm no nutritionist but when I've found is that you can't be afraid to eat, listen to your body. When it tells you your hungry then eat :) As long as your putting healthy food in your body and staying active you have nothing to worry about. Try to avoid snacking of any kind, once in a while might be ok but the more strict you are on snacking habits the more you will benefit
@PopInPhresh The problem was I wasn't hungry. I was just craving random stuff. I've been craving a lot of random foods lately and way overeating since I pretty much only eat 2-3 times a day. But I'm trying to figure it all out.
@PopInPhresh And actually I get satisfied now a lot quicker than I used to. It's nice. I'm making progress. But I still eat emotionally at night so I'm trying to cut that out.
after you workout your body is craving food to replenish, just have a nice healthy meal. I wouldn't just have a snack after a long workout especially if I hadn't eaten much all day. Gotta fuel that body, just make sure what you're eating are healthy choices and not huge portions. If you try to disobey your body by having a light snack when It wants real sustenance you'll find yourself snacking more often, especially on foods that are unhealthy. Just stay active and eat healthy through the day :)
Since you have done fasting and know about ketosis, have you thought of low carb or paleo dieting?
