But if you enable the trick of infinite life, you not die. if you are in front of the door, you fall in a place where there are no radiation,and wait a few minutes, you become get up. if you go outside, you will see that nothing happens.

some were mental tests on human minds like vault 112

some were just mad scientists who decided to destroy all hope of survival like vault 87

i believe valt 101 vault 1 vault 21 and there was another 2 or 3, that were the only control vaults, most of them were crazy tests, go on the fallout wiki n read some of them, there really cool actually

@wajaba1 I have read the wiki, and your right EXCEPT for Vault 101 was actually another experiment but a safe one. It was how the residents would react/live when kept underground for an extremly long period of time instead of opening after 20 years like the other control vaults.

Well not the G.E.C.K is suppose to revive life after the Vault Dwellers are told to leave the vault. For some reason this G.E.C.K kills the player.

Of course I've played the game. I have it for 360, which kinda makes it a little difficult to get to the GECK becuase of the 100's of rads per second. There is no "God Mode" on the Xbox. I played and beat Fallout3 (numerous times over 150 hours) every which-way possible. Every item every perk(not on the same guy of course.) Without cheats. The way you're supposed to play.

not really i managed to get to vault 87's entrance without using god mod i had like 150 Rad-away's and a Rad X so u use one rad x and go to the GECK and keep pressing the Rad Away button but really now i killed Fawkes (Fuckes) and took it by myself no cheats no Rad away i dunno how ill check it out again cuz im exactly on that mission with my new character

you "die" but realy you go into a coma (or get knocked out,cant remem which,im pretty sure its a coma though) and when u get the expansion pack,broken steel,you come out of hte coma/come concious again

uhhh anchorage and then broken steel,i dont think u can get broken steel first,i think u gotta have the last one,but it doesnt matter when,once u install it,u can go back to your character and after the end video is over your guy comes out and is alive again,after that i dont think u will permanently die like that again,but i'd save ofthen and have 2 save spaces,and u rotate which one u save each
