No, the United States only contains about 3% of the worlds oil, the majority of our oil is shipped in from the middle east. What our senator is misleading everyone on is the refining of oil. The high prices of gasoline in the US is not because of the price of oil per barrel, its the refining of it and they are controlling the demand through this process. Back in the 1980's oil companies started shutting down several refineries.

I agree with with Inhofe on the first half, but I do think we should get into alternative energy because we will eventually run out anyways. Even though I know about climate gate and the plot to take over the world. There is a separate issue of better technology, and it doesn't involve the climate change farce.

Alternative energy, which Markey says shall be used instead of fossil fuel, are roughly 3 to 20 times more expensive than nuclear or fossil power. Wind power vary unpredictably = stupid energy. Electric cars will be say 5-10 times more expensive but with 100-250 miles range. Also heavy cars (impossibly small trucks) and there's litium to just a few million cars.
